We would have been right in there with a chance of winning. JT, Fidel, Rampaul and Bravo would have loved these conditions and we have the most impressive record of any nation in the ICCCT. Of course the WICB is not worried about these things and prefers losing so they can make a point.

Perhaps, they could've swallowed their pride and continued to play.
PS: I don't condone what WICB has done to WI cricket with its policies.

They did swallow their pride and made themselves available for selection as far back as the Bangladesh ODI series.......
The WICB has just refused to pick them.

06 - 1st round
09 - 1st round
98 - SF

04 - winners
06 - finalists
09 - group stages (WICB takes credit)

Re: India v West Indies, ICCCT, Johannesburg, Sep 30
ok forgot about 06. 3 finals makes them most successful. how does aus have a better record SG?
98 - 1st round
00 - 1st round
02 - SF
04 - SF
06 - winners
09 - ?
interesting that no team has won this tournament twice. NZ or AUS would have to win this time for that to happen.
dhoni now bowling, and takes a wicket! could this be more meaningless??

tbf the ball he got the wicket with jagged back and bounced. Just goes to show that if the seam is upright on this surface it will do all sorts.

WI have played in more finals than aus. that makes them the more successful side in this competition since they have both won it once. individual games dont matter.

I think Ishant, RP and Bhajji are single biggest culprits from Indian side.
RP has always been crap, Ishant since the start of this year and Bhajji is also crap outside subcon.
So really, nothing has changed.

The ball is turning square. This is not going to be pretty.

Have to say the Indians inner circle fielding is awful. Extremely unathletic, they should be cutting off most of the singles that have been taken in this partnership.

Sammy is caught in the deep at the 3rd attempt, casually flicking a ball of his hips. I think he forgot about cricket at altitude where the ball carries much much further than anywhere else.
