Perhaps not.DJ_Smerk wrote:SG wrote:Well played Australia.
Fully deserved to win the series. Watson has been simply sensational for past few months. Bollinger ensured that Aus don't feel the punch of Lee's absence.
There is something wrong with this sentence.
I might be guilt of NSR, but his performance in ICCCT and this series will prove that. Don't remember too much about his exploits in Eng-Aus ODI series though.

The fact is, Shane Watson is lucky to be in this era of cricket. If he was picked up and dropped into the mid-90's, he'd be up a certain creek with a particular paddle.
I'm allowed to say that because, from a fan's point of view of the game, I don't think he's been really tested at the highest level. Playing England in England is no longer the challenge it used to be...(If he played in 2005, he'd be taken to the cleaners).

You just can't fault him for that. He is doing what he could.
If what you say is true then everyone playing in this era is lucky.

Well, I suppose Shane Watson's success comes down to hard hitting with cemented footwork. I suppose it works more on the Indian style pitches.
All I'm saying is, lets see how he treats the Windies on a Brissy green top.

DJ_Smerk wrote:So Bollinger's success in India will mean he won't get chosen for the next two Test series'?
Why should he? The success he has had in this series is solely down to being offered the cherry ripe wickets to bowl on while Hilfenhaus has been given the dustbowls. The only true comparison is the fourth game where they both went for plenty but Hilfy returned the slightly better figures. Even so, Bollinger was given the next game on a wicket that was custom made for swing bowling.
I suspect the Dubber mafia is at work here.

Good call, Big Dog. I wasn't suggesting to play Bollinger ahead of Hilfenhaus, (because Hilfenhaus should never be dropped) but would Bollinger utilise the quickness of the Gabba come the first test?

BD is complaining about Bolly while overlooking McKay's selection for the last 2 matches.

Just stating the obvious:
Bolly - OK..on an easy wicket
Moises - Shite
McKay - an honest trundler but nothing special.
Voges - Shite

I reckon he won't play a game in the baggy lightblue this year. Prolly a good thing.

You don't even have to rub it. It turns green automatically with time.
