Well, he clearly failed, didn't he? I mean, so he won the World Cup, so what? He should have done much, much better.

Although it seems he didn't apply for the position of coach when it was advertised, it was unbelievably crass to advertise it whilst he was in the middle of a World Cup campaign. Sacked is effectively what it is.

His contract stipulated that he need not have reapplied for his post, and that the rugby union had to negotiate with him before appointing anyone else. Instead, they had secret discussions in which he was not consulted at all before announcing their shortlist. Appears the Minister of Sport Monkeynesi Stofile was directly involved, although I did not hear or see that news item myself.

It's pretty simple guys. Too much White influence on the Springboks.

To South African Rugby fans: Enjoy being world champions ths time around, because if the suspected developments come, with players in the team on racial grounds, not on form, it'll be a long time before you're on top again.

And here's a thing... If it was good enough for South African teams to be excluded from world sport for picking players because they were white, not necessarily on form, surely the same should apply in reverse.

The head of our parliamentary committee on sport, Mr Khompela, has already considered that possibility. "So what if they ban South Africa?" he said. "They are not the only rugby-playing countries in the world. We can always play Namibia and Uganda."

It's all to do with the quota system and the redistribution of wealth.

It's especially sad considering that South Africans of all colours came out into the streets to celebrate the world cup triumph.

Next thing you know, Jacob Zuma will be running the place. Then I dread to think what will happen.

If teams need to reflect the demographics of their country, why is the soccer team all black? It's nothing more than racism in reverse. Two wrongs never make a right. Cricket should refuse to allow SA to participate in tours unless their team is picked on merit. Other countries should boycott SA rugby teams unless they're picked on merit. The powers that be would hate all the loss of revenue that would equate to.

Considering the way the ICC has handled the 10000 times worse Zimbabwean situation, I think there is more chance of Nelson Mandela batting at 3 in the upcoming test match against NZ and belting 300 not out.

Ashwell Prince, I guess. He got his chance through the quota system 6 years ago and has worked hard at his game and is now one of South Africa's most reliable batsmen and the test vice captain.

I guess SA still has a white captain though. Wouldn't Prince be a more deserving candidate?
