"Arthur was dumped after a meeting with chief executive James Sutherland and high performance manager Pat Howard in Bristol last night, where Australia A beat Gloucester.

It is unclear who will replace him but Queensland coach Darren Lehmann is currently in England coaching Australia A.

Arthur is the victim of Australia’s poor performance on the field and lack of discipline off it."

Pity Tim Coyle decided to retire from coaching this year. He would have been ideal to replace Arthur.

Things must be really bad in that Aussie camp right now if they've chosen two and a half weeks before the Ashes to sack their coach.

I'm going to speculate and say that James Sutherland was furious at the lacklustre response from the team management to the David Warner incident, their refusal to send Warner home, and Arthur's recent attempts to try and play it down and say that Australia had been "outsmarted" by the ECB and English media, suggesting that he thought it was all overblown and that the ECB milked it.

If Boof takes over UK's chances must be looking good.

Why do I have a nagging feeling that Michael Clarke has a finger in this particular pie.

You know when a coach starts crapping on about culture, they are either Mick Malthouse or about to get sacked. 

Culture comes from behaviours, performance, improvement and standards. 

None of which the team are showing. Talking about culture does not create it. Doing the difficult things does. 

We are obviously about to get a massive pantsing in the tests but maybe now the players will realise that it is up to them as individuals, and no individual is exempt from performance.
