Re: CA Contracts
Hussey and Manou both a little unlucky, esp as Hussey still represents oz in T20. Wonder why bung keeps his contract? has he got a wicket yet in the IPL?

Re: CA Contracts
Agree with horrie. Nikki and Manure seem to have been harshly treated, but obviously Timmy Paine is the new Gilly.horace wrote:Hussey and Manou both a little unlucky, esp as Hussey still represents oz in T20. Wonder why bung keeps his contract? has he got a wicket yet in the IPL?
Oh, and PMSL at PODGE. It had to be said, even though he had retired.

Re: CA Contracts
I'd like to express surprise at some of the contract decisions. But there's nothing CA & the NSP do these days that surprises me.

Re: CA Contracts
paine and wade both had good seasons...the latter was central to the mighty vix shield win....
do not think that McKay has made the most of his chances...surprised that ronnie is still in the mix...at best he had only a serviceable year...battla certainly has better claims

Re: CA Contracts
I see Bung retained a CA contract. That deserves a loud FFS.

Re: CA Contracts
Lee and Tait are definitely lucky. It's not surprising to see Manou go because you'd be able to mount a case for the younger Paine, Wade and Hartley to ably step up if needed. David Hussey has been spouting in the press today how he still believes he's a chance of cracking the test team. He must suffer from delusions of grandeur though he's certainly unlucky compared with Lee in terms of the contract situation. McKay is possibly lucky given his relatively ordinary performances and the apparent rumour that he's not on Punter's Christmas list.

I honestly don't see it that way.skully wrote:I see Bung retained a CA contract. That deserves a loud FFS.
The man has been a faithful servant to CA (and English cricket) for as long as I can remember.
He's the backbone of a pretty inept bowling trio currently swanning it in the Oz team.
Johnson - wayward with occasional sparkle.
Bollinger - all blow no show .. fat and jowly with piggy eyes.
Tait - specialist burn-out merchant who fires well for 1.3 overs per session...
