Re: It's David Saker then
Damn straight. What has happened to Goughy? Is he having a run in some mud-track lower Division Northern Football League or sumpent?
He could make the ball talk in the right conditions.

WHERE WAS DAZZLER??
How do you know he's any good as a coach? He might be absolutely useless. This point is important, just because someone was a decent bowler doesn't mean they can coach. And just because someone wasn't a top ranked bowler doesn't mean they aren't a fantastic coach.

Absolutely, take Kevin Shine for example.

Saw him on a TV programme coaching young hopefuls.Very skilfully.
He even did a decent SLA delivery, to show how it's done. Better than Monty's of late.
Plus, he has the drive and the daft enthusiasm. And human knowledge.

Kevin Shi*e is hardly a good example of anything.
Except possibly erratic appointment procedures.

Er......that's the justification? Coaching kids and coaching test players is not the same.

No, I was sort of vaguely aware young teenagers weren't Test players.
But nobody coaches Test bowlers, until they coach Test bowlers.

Apparently Saker was straight on the blower to Patticakes.
"Too right I'd like my place back mate. I mean, the Poms smell like fcuk and are a fukcing joke, but who'd pass up a chance of more Test cricket??"

Which means that neither you nor I have the faintest idea who is a decent coach and who isn't. So calling for Goughie is based on what, exactly?

Re: It's David Saker then
I reckon Darren Gough would be a good bowling coach. Hope it hasn't been said already. Wouldn't want to look like a fool.

am pleased to see that senor skully has come to his senses...with an appropriate visa and a declaration that he is not following the ways of mudge (perhaps a health check would be advisable!) he is welcome to our shores (ie the good side of the Murray)

Saker has been assistant coach for the Viles for a couple of seasons. He doesn't seem to have done them (especially their bowlers) any harm

Hehehe. Surprised it took you so long to find my moment of niceness towards the festering Viles.horace wrote:skully wrote:Meh. Hard to bag the State level Viles when they have won the Shield and just about everything else for the past 2 seasons.
