Steady on, Lever ol' chap. I considered her somewhat hot during her X-Files days.
Yeah, yeah, eye of the beholder and all that.

No, Madonna 'thinks' she's putting on a British accent but just sounds like an American trying some funny accent.
Ms Andersons is full blown proper posho English!

Re: Save The Weekend Fixtures
Having looked it up it appears the English accent is her natural one - grew up in the UK until the age of 11 and got teased at school in the US because of her accent.
Still weird how she doesn't just settle on one but changes it for different interviews in different countries.

Re: Save The Weekend Fixtures
It's Surrey. I don't like to mention it straight off the bat as there is a lot of prejudice against them which, considering their woeful performances the past few seasons, is somewhat misplaced.
I should mention that I have only become affiliated with one team in the past couple of seasons as I live very close to the ground now, I'm generally just a cricket fan and want all counties to do well for the benefit of the England team.

You and the Emu (on here) ought to hit it off then - though he tries desperately hard to avoid being positive about the Slurries!!

I support Surrey because I live just a 15 minute train ride from the ground, it would be churlish not too. I genuinely do like all the counties though, I just like watching cricket and want the England team to be the best in the world.

Re: Save The Weekend Fixtures
Gillian Anderson is many things; a full-blown Anglo by upbringing and a natural blonde.
Naturally, working on an American show as an American FBI agent, she did something very out of character in putting on an American accent. Her and Stephen Moyer are two of the Anglos who do manage to put on good Yankee doodle accents.
Whereas Keira Knightley . . .
PS - btw I wouldn't call hers a posh accent, but if that's what passes for posh nowadays, I begin to understand why my accent is considered 'posh.'

Christian Bale does all his promotional interviews in the accent he uses in the film he's plugging, so as not to distract the potential audience during the film with the knowledge that he's putting on a fakey.
Does that make him a pretentious twat? I wouldn't like to say - lest he and I be f*cking done, professionally.
