Carberry has had a brilliant FC season but doesn't seem to be getting a look in at the moment. If you're going to drop Cook surely it has to be for him?
Me neither, number 3 had been a problem position which is currently seeing Trott do well at. Added to the fact Bell is best at 6.
Bell is best 'working' the docks.

And all of a sudden the forgotten man is Morgan ... who will most probably get hoofed out to make way for the free-loader.
Morgan has far more nouse, larger balls and a shed load more determination and fight than the little Belf has ...
He deserves his chance to prove it at the highest level - much as Belf did in miserable fashion at home (avge 7.8 ) in the 2005 Ashes series.
But all that will count for f**k all.
As long as Giles is a member of the selectors panel his golden boy will always get the nod....
Qunt.

One of you silly Poms inferred that Cook's nickname was Monster as in the Sesame Street cookie eating glutton.Merlin wrote:Monster = who d'ya mean ??
Monsta = Monty the Panesar = history now.
My question stands. Is he the new Ollie North who scores d!ck for innings after innings then pulls a ton out of his @rse when the selectors are starting to look hard at his worth? Except in the Aus NSP's case, they are so myopic that they sail on regardless of his sh!t reliability on the grounds that Drunky says he gives good head.

I presume that would've been chav Lever bestowing the Monster tag then ...
At least North can bowl a bit - after all, he took a 6 fer which should guarantee his berth for the Ashes... (please God) ...
Cook will come good ... trouble is ... when ?
And as long as he has the V-Capt label on him, he could turn out to be an embarrassment come Novemeber if the barren trot continues...
I just wish TF they'd drop the Vice Captaincy tag permanently ... it creates all sorts of pressures and dilemmas.

Rumblings here are that Haider's broken digit was caused by Broad's accidental misdirected return throw that hit him ...
Haven't seen any vid evidence ... could just be the Paksters stirring it, of course!

Tomorrow will be the first time since 1996 that the first day of a test match at the Oval will not be a full house apparently...

What are they doing moving the Oval Test out of its traditional end of season slot anyway?
