Maybe they should forfeit the two first innings now.

I wondered why Pakistan were 7.2 to win

[not tom]
if the first day is a complete washout, the follow-on target reduces to 150. interesting.

Is that the standard F/O target in 4 day CC matches then ?

Yep.
Lords drains well though: in 2007 on the day when New Road flooded, they played 70 overs.

Strausser has got to win the toss - and bowl...
Sod how the wicket might appear - look upwards and touch the clouds.
Suspect Butt will do the same ... perfect conditions for the swingers.

For some reason the Lord's drainage hasn't been as good this year. Anyone know why?

First I've heard of it!
Anyway - haven't really had much rain at Lord's overall this season tbh.
Sadly in the Muddlersex's case (the games Ive gone upto watch anyway) - rain might have helped them draw a few more games rather than lose (which became common place) mid season.

Urgh, if there's anything more annoying than rain delaying the start of play, it's slight drizzle that would be played through if the players were already out there.

Since we forecast a 2 - 1 Ashes series victory after the Cardiff draw last year.

Terrible fielding by the Pakistani's in the slip cordon.
What are they doing?
Regulation edge by Cook, dropped by Umar. Simply horrendous.

Well, I reckon England will take 39-1 - could've been a lot worse in those conditions.

The forecast looks a bit better for today. I just hope the umpires aren't too anal about light.

First ball duck for KP. Two weeks ago everything seemed to be fine but now i'm seriously concerned about the batting going into the ashes.
