ICC plan World XI tour of Pakistan by end of 2011
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is hoping to send an invitational World XI to play fixtures in Pakistan by the end of 2011.

So who do we think will be in this "World XI"?

Kieron Pollard? Dwayne Bravo? Yuvraj Singh? Andrew Flintoff?

This is absolutely crazy, what would be more of a terrorist target than any regular international side? A team made up of the biggest stars of world cricket, of course. A chance for someone to wipe out a generation of world class cricketing talent, if indeed that's what the team turns out to be. More likely it will be a team of journeymen and young hopefuls lacking in both money and sense.
World cricket has to accept the fact that it will probably be a decade or more before any team can feel safe touring there, the Sri Lanka attack was that significant as it proved that players, umpires and officials would actually be targets.

Whoever they send, it will still leave an uneasy feeling in my stomach.

Maybe the expendables can play a warm up game against collateral damage?

more likely to be an amalgamation of lankans and bangladeshis, and even that is unlikely. cant see any other cricketers touring
maybe the top brass of the icc could double up as players. i would pay to watch that

Where is the money coming from ? PCB has no money, no Indian is likely to be involved thus shutting out any potential Indian sponsor.

Are they planning to send their mums-in-law XI there?
