Re: IPL Champions League 2010
Looks a tidy effort by the Vomits to keep their tournament alive.

Re: IPL Champions League 2010
personally I hope they do not get beyond the group stage...they have more important tasks ahead - ie kicking butt in the Shield

I like your priorities, h, but I have to say I did enjoy the Spivs win in this tournament last year.

I heard it on 774 and 927 and it was on tonight's news. AFL is dominating though.

Re: IPL Champions League 2010
Always reminds me of my dear ol' Dad's first trip to Melbourne. As a Leeeegie, he picked up a paper to get some news on the footy from Spivtown, and couldn't find anything but AFL (might have been VFL in them days) on the back 18 pages of the paper. And then there was barely a mention of Leeeeg on page 19 from the back.Red wrote:AFL is dominating though.

So the Barrels continue their excellent form in this tournament with an easy win over the Bangalorians. Max, Christian and Spud continue to do well.

I still don't get why they've organised the groups as they have

Spud continues to show why he may well be the most valuable JAMOTT bowler in the game.

I'm sorry, but when Dhoni bowls some unknown spinner in the super over, and then doesn't go out to bat himself in Chennai's super over when they need 24, he is either a complete idiot, or this match has been fixed.

Aye Trev, seems very dodgy. Still, good win by the Viles.

Tell me about this young Dussey character. He seems quite handy.

At least Greg Matthews got something right for a change when he said that Clarke shouldn't be in the T20 team.

Dhoni is gone as big-time hitter long back, he shouldn't even be in the 3 selected to bat the super over for chennai. Ashwin has opened the bowling a lot for chennai in the last IPL and has been the toughest to hit, though Bollinger should have been a more practical choice.

Dhoni can still play the big shots. He just tends to shirk from his responsibilities. When he bats for India in ODIs, he always drops himself down the order if India lose early wickets and the pitch is doing a bit, or he moves himself up the order if India have got a flyer and the pitch is good. Again here, he just didn't want to make himself directly responsible for Chennai losing. He's happy being in cruise control.

Re: IPL Champions League 2010
He seems to get a lot of his runs by working the ball around in ODIs. He knew he couldn't match Hussey's hitting!

Re: IPL Champions League 2010
So now Victoria has to hope for a one-sided match, especially if the Chennai team wins, right?
