Glenn Mitchell resigns from ABC
He was one of the main ABC callers of cricket (behind Maxwell)
will still do "special broadcasts" apparently
Hass ...Any gossip within ABC as to why he has resigned?

Re: Glenn Mitchell resigns from ABC
STAR ABC sports broadcaster Glenn Mitchell has quit- and his resignation has today been accepted.
The 21-year ABC veteran was unavailable for comment today, with his wife Karen Tighe saying, "he is on leave."
The news follows reports that Mitchell has been on leave since he went to work last Friday, only to be told to "leave and not come back."
WA's ABC local radio manager Deborah Leavitt later confirmed that Mitchell forwarded his resignation, while on leave.

Hmm, I haven't heard anything as yet.
Grandstand has a new Executive Producer (who I happen to know pretty well) so I'm sure word will filter around soon enough.

Would prefer him over name dropping conceited Maxwell any day of the week. Karen T's voice is irritating though.

Can't agree. I've always found KT to be one of the most informed female sports commentators in the country.

Have you ever seen Red say anything complimentary about the opposite sex?

And except for the hooked beak, she's not the fugliest thing to inhabit the Earth. KT goes pretty good for mine.

Yeah - not at all a good head for radio.
Speaking of which: If they did take up BD's suggestion and bring back the dreaded Oliver fellow it would make for some interesting dynamics within the comm box - Maxwell can't stand him, When Jim wrote his book it ran to 200+ pagrs with conspicuously not a mention of the thousand-decibel name-dropper.
Which is about all such a move has to recommend it.

There is no absolutely no truth to the rumor that NO had to be talked out of writing a book about 1989 and calling it 'How I Won The Ashes'.

Could Max Walker be brought back?
Or what about KOK upping his hours?
Come to think of it, I suppose Mark Nicholas is about to be crowned.

No-one. But I was on about the paper journalists on Sky Sports News. Attrocious.
Re: Glenn Mitchell resigns from ABC
It would be an improvement if they were made of paper.

Not saying she's not informed and Mitchell is batting above his average in the relationship but her voice is irritating on Grandstand during the summer, as is Simone's. Mitchell has a good head for radio but he's polished and informative to listen to.

They're made of goat's girdles, mixed in with garbled love letters, sweat smelling of shame, gold stars, lucky charms, babar tears and original caesar salad - probably Cesar salad, if I'm not mistaken. They're shaken in a special milkshake for murderers machine whilst whistling the "Mr. Sheen shines umpteen things clean" ditty.
Once this is completed they're tested for rat poison and sent on their merry way to Eritrea.
I hope this cleans things up. If not, send questions to 74 Vernon Terrace, Cliftonville, Northampton, NN1 4BD.
Thanks for your input.
