No slips at all for Sanga? Great. Seem to have given up hope of taking any more wickets after the 20th over. Qunts.

A point so well made, you said it twice...
Yep, let's not put pressure on the batsmen at 80-5. Let them have their 230 and then let us struggle like qunts to get it under lights.

I'm rooting for Sri Lanka anyway. I just don't like this England team. It shames me to see them playing in my hometown. If Robin Hood was here ...

I've drank enough blue and goldish paint so that I'm nailing myself to SL's mast. They are the only saviour of English ODI cricket.
Re: England vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI, Trent Bridge, 6 July, 2011
Highest 6th wicket stand at The Bridge in ODIs for the Lankies beating 32 v. the Saffies by Ranutunga & Hathurusingha in 1998.

Urgh. We're so structured. Opening bowlers bowl around 5 overs each, then no matter how many wickets we've taken, the field goes back, and we bowl to contain, with them able to get 4-5 an over no problem. 50-5 always seems to become 230.
C*nts.

Apart from Swanny, do any of our bowlers have economy rates under 5? Looking at the stats, Ravi Bopara is as good a one day bowler as any of them.

Highest 6th wicket partnership v. England at The Bridge beating 53 by Clive Lloyd & Dujon in 1984 as well as by Cameron White & James Hopes in 2009.

You could predict it even before the recovery began. If these two keep their heads, 250/260 is possible.
Remember 33-4 should have been 33-5. It's still only 117-5 and yet no slips... if you let good players get settled with little effort you will pay.
Qunts...

Homophobe, all Northern men hug and call each other "love", without embarrassment.

Jimmy to clean up early doors, and T-Bone Timmy to lick the plate clean.
Broad will still remain wicketless. That's his specialist skill.
Nailed it. Apart from Broad letting me down, as usual.

Lowest score successfully defended at Trent Bridge is 195 by the Windies in 2000, winning by 3 runs despite Alec Stewart making 100.

I remember that, for about a month that Summer (the ODI's and the Old Trafford Test) Stewart batted like a god.
Re: England vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI, Trent Bridge, 6 July, 2011
Well, what can we do to get more of these green seamers to international cricket? Its clearly not fair to make our seamers bowling in good batting conditions with clear skies. Prepare a proper wicket and some proper clouds and we're all over them.
I'm thinking maybe hosting the next cricket World Cup in Wales and Lancashire in October. Or maybe we could start seeding clouds like they do in China?

Re: England vs Sri Lanka, 4th ODI, Trent Bridge, 6 July, 2011
At least Dernbach had the right idea by getting it up there at the end.
Shouldn't be enough, but England definitely a batsman light so you never know...
