Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
Do you regale in his tales like how he washed his dick two years ago which made him the laughing stock at his gentlemen's club, or how his butler got the shittier fois gras which he threw half of at said butler and fed the other half to his dog.
All this in-between the quasi-poetic, doddering 'commentary' of mistaken players, passages of play and field-settings.
As I say, a very lucky man indeed all-in-all.

He's been getting away with it for years, I wish I knew his secret. There's people like Pat Murphy who really KNOW the game just can't get a gig on TMS

Dunno, maybe the stats are buried somewhere on the Beeb website. It's probably fair to say though that it's people with the ability to listen all day, or drop in and out during the day, so retired, unemployed and maybe schoolkids during the Summer holidays.

You really think schollkids? I know we would have listened at that age, but the kids of today?

It was a guess - less likely, I suppose if they have access to Sky

Those are two of my favourite anecdotes.Brass Monkey wrote:Do you regale in his tales like how he washed his dick two years ago which made him the laughing stock at his gentlemen's club, or how his butler got the shittier fois gras which he threw half of at said butler and fed the other half to his dog.

I bet you like McCririck too. Heck, I bet you like Richard Madeley. I'm not going to lie and say I'm not disappointed.
Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
McCririck is a qunt though, as is Madeley. Blowers seems like a good chap.

I bought a Boyzone album when I was 9, so my soul has long since departed.Brass Monkey wrote:I'm seriously relieved that you have at least some soul left.

Oh blimey. Blimey blimey blimey. I'd never had brought that one out of the bag.
Well done, sir. I salute such brave statements.

None of my friends actually know.Brass Monkey wrote:Oh blimey. Blimey blimey blimey. I'd never had brought that one out of the bag.

In fact, they found it about ten years ago when they were helping me clear through the garage, they thought it was my Mum's but decided to make it a running joke that it was mine.
They still don't know the awful truth....

Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
I had a similar incident with a different CD, but I don't want to talk about it. I too have things on this site that I wish I could scrap from the annals....
Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
I like how it's so bad that they couldn't even conceive the possibility that it might actually be mine.

Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
Aye, I'm not surprised. Not at all. At least mine was a Chrimbo pressie, but no-one would believe me.

Oh my days.
If it's confessional o'clock, I bought "The Sign" by Ace of Base.
I also had a wank sat on the back seat of a bus when there was only one other person on the top deck (sitting at the front). I was young. Experimental. A menace to society.
Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
Madman. You should be more reticent, what with your new found fame. This'll be in the Daily Star.

I'm not ashamed. Ace of Base weren't bad.
Re: Cricket is BACK baby!
Good confessionary (is that a word?) tactics there. Soften the blow of the second confession by saying something far worse first.Dello wrote:vilkrang wrote:I bought a Boyzone album when I was 9, so my soul has long since departed.Brass Monkey wrote:I'm seriously relieved that you have at least some soul left.
