I can remember getting spending a month or so driving around the South and seeing more weapons than I'd ever seen in my life and I used to work for an arms manufacturer. It may be time to retire this thread out of respect to anyone with common sense.

Aye Q. This thread will get a regular kick along basically forever. The US Congress will never do anything about gun control while ever the NRA draws breath.

I see the orange dolt (sorry, it's a story in the Australian but I'm not a subscriber so no link) has said that the Texas massacre was about mental health not guns. You farking prawn, if the loony didn't have a semi-automatic (or any gun) he wouldn't have killed people.

Arsehole.

Of course, the victims themselves were praying at the time. Fat lot of good it did them.

There was a tragedy at a Greenacre (Sydney) school this morning when an out-of-control car plowed into a classroom. The big difference between Aus and the US is the the latter's school tragedies involve some psycho shooting kiddies.

This is astonishing...

Apparently* 7 killed in yet another school shooting in the US, this time in Florida.

ABC News said there has been 18 shooting incidents at US schools THIS YEAR, and over 200 since Sandy Hook in late 2012.

Lardy's "let 'em all shoot 'emselves" edict may come to pass!! Shocked

Dreadful. POTARSE offered his traditional - condolences to families and 'his prayers'.

Can anyone imagine Prez Bigly really getting on knees and offering prayers?

Can anyone imagine the bereaved being comforted by the prayers of a bloated fool?

only one word is appropriate as a response to the prevailing and self-deluding blind stupidity that continues in 2018 to enable this slow-motion serial tragedy ... it's a level of stupidity that anyone with a functioning cerebral cortex can only be amazed by, agog at, and aghast.

This is a nation that is living breathing blustering proof of the Kruger-Dunning effect, with the NRA standing at the apex of this idiotic pyramid.

sadly, the word that comes to mind is automatically replaced by four asterisks

****

Amazed to hear surprise expressed by one of the politicians in Florida.

At the risk of sounding like someone lacking in compassion, it's hard to feel sympathy for a nation whose people are largely invested in the notion of the right to bear arms.
