I can remember getting spending a month or so driving around the South and seeing more weapons than I'd ever seen in my life and I used to work for an arms manufacturer. It may be time to retire this thread out of respect to anyone with common sense.

I see the orange dolt (sorry, it's a story in the Australian but I'm not a subscriber so no link) has said that the Texas massacre was about mental health not guns. You farking prawn, if the loony didn't have a semi-automatic (or any gun) he wouldn't have killed people.

There was a tragedy at a Greenacre (Sydney) school this morning when an out-of-control car plowed into a classroom. The big difference between Aus and the US is the the latter's school tragedies involve some psycho shooting kiddies.

At the risk of sounding like someone lacking in compassion, it's hard to feel sympathy for a nation whose people are largely invested in the notion of the right to bear arms.
