Yeah, I really think that every other game against us should be cancelled and declared a no contest. Absolutely f*cking dire.
I'm shocked by how bad you've been this year, absolutely shocked. Yeah, I didn't think you were a great team last year, but you've been threatening promotion for a few years and I thought the Twenty20 experience would have set a positive marker going forward. Relegation battle, definitely. Most teams who get promoted are a long way behind. But being the Leicestershire of Division One? Amazingly poor, so far. Hopefully, there's a massive improvement, but it's almost at a stage already where it's too late.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
I think I've blocked it out in the back of my mind, but we were f*cking awful two years ago - finished second from bottom and won about 2 T20 games, maybe no more than 1 40 over game. So, last year was an aberration and it was only for half a season.
I was naïve and had hope, but I should've listened more to the facts - we're wank.

Who do you think he should replace? I'd have him over Jordan but you seemed quite sympathetic to him earlier...

I think Jordan earned his shot with some good ODI performances and a decent FC record, but there's no doubt he's been outbowled by Liam Plunkett over the course of the two Tests.
If England are serious about building a new team, Stokes should've been one of the first names on the team sheet, locked in at seven, playing as a fourth seamer.
Jordan could prove to be a long-term replacement for Anderson, who I think is on the downslope now in his career.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
of course Stokes should be playing for the Poms...

Sometimes enforcing the follow-on is doubtful.
But Northants are 470 behind on first innings. Come on Chappie! Don't do a Chef and bat again!

Yeah, he should be alright - we won't last two sessions because we're pussies.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Stephen Moore retires, half a season with Direbyshire is more than enough for him.
Another player briefly talked of as a Test prospect, one Yarpom who never quite made the grade. Surprised he's as old as 33 though.

He's a highly qualified engineer of some sort and he was never likely to hang around long in the game once all chances of an England career were snuffed out. Another Ex-Pear who went in search of greener pastures only to find a rather barren landscape.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Shame though, an exceptional opening batsman, at times. Very adept. Focked it bigtime after Worcs though. Bigtime. Got to blame the inhospitable Lancs dressing room and in particular Peter Moores.
Moores loved Moore's steel though. He likened it to a samurai sword.

I think he had one cracking A tour/Lions stint, but never kicked on.
Don't remember him ever breaking single figures whenever I saw him play.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Hmmmm.... Sky seem to have 'picked up' Michael Vaughan.... bad times. Bad old times.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Just the T20s, I think. Block it out. Like a Vaughan forward defenc... oh, there go my stumps.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
I can't. He started saying that Taylor and Fletcher need walkie talkies to communicate because of their size difference. I mean... what sort of... oh.... I give up. It's happening.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
After a jackal binge of frenzied feasting on the carrion of Danny's Caynty, it's back to crapola for Lancs batting.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
MightyZ doing okay again. Hales with his second 150+ score in June. Strangely, he's batted in three different positions in the month, despite scoring 617 runs @ 77 in that time-frame. Still, we're batting reasonably for once. June is usually the month where we fall to bits so it's a welcome change to be scoring runs and to be scoring them quickly. 4 of our last 8 innings have seen us score at more than 4.50 run per over, 2 of those we've scored in excess of 5. It makes a nice change from years of scraping 250 thanks to Chris God Read.
I fully expect us to turn to sh*te any moment now.

So, Stephen Moore, Peter Burgoyne, Tim Groenewald, and Richard Johnson have left Derbyshire. If they're not careful they will become the new .....errrr Derbyshire.

Another hundred for Le Roy. FC runs @ 53 this season.
It's happening.
If the likes of him, Hales and Buttler can crack FC cricket, there's an outside possibility that, one day, England might not have the most boring side in the world.

Hell's teeth, Malan scores a rare century for the Sexies against Northants.

Gussie will drag them down yet, Merls ... put in an appearance and demoralise the whole camp.
