Football WC 2018

I didn't think she was a fan, of any sport that didn't involve horses. She fobs off the FA to Bill, the tennis to the duchess of something, hates rugby and seems to be only mildly interested in cricket.

That family has,a genetic disposition to kill things and call it sport. These days humans are rarely the target.

The number of times I've heard stories about the colonial era that involve the tragic shooting of a local and end with "it was hushed up of course" is scary.

Meanwhile, FIFA sneakily confirm that the 2018 WC will take place in November and December and tough titties to all the Professional Leagues who would otherwise be playing at that time.

Are Qatar building covered and air-conditioned stadia, like they indicated in their dodgy bid? Or are players going to melt their way through the tournament?

Apparently it is the ME Vegas (which is a dump) but I was talking about the crowds not the players. Ever walked out of a shopping centre in summer? Or are they going to pay for mass transportation on a scale not heard of since the Ark.

Neither - European football has bizarrely agreed to distort the schedule for two seasons to play the World Cup in the run-up to Christmas.

Anyway, the JAMTPPO is today, Kane vs Lukaku for the Golden Boot (barring a remarkable scoring feat from a French or Croatian player tomorrow). Hopefully at least Lineker’s old item of footwear is coming home...

In Muslim Qatar? The penalty for alcohol consumption in Qatar is public flogging. That should provide interesting viewing at the next WC

Well I think there's exceptions for infidels, though they may have to rethink the public drunky thingy (for which there is no penalty in throughout Koran).

Does anyone know what the booze arrangements are for the WC?
