Actually, that needs correction. The best since January 2021 when we last went past 1000 (Aus summer).

With 3 and a bit Ashes Tests to be completed in July, we might crack 1000 post in a month again ... especially given that all the excitement of Tests 1 and 2, and most of the related posts, occurred after mid-June.

117 posts on Day 1 of July, so hopefully Mrbucket is on the money.

Any more catching controversies like the ruled Starc "no catch" and we'll romp past 1,000.
