Re: Is Vettori better than Jesus?
I think most people know the score with DV. Hes a very handy cricketer, averaging 28 with the bat and 35 with the ball, good fielder, intelligent young man. He does very well in a poor NZ side and shows a lot of fight. I like to see him do well and I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same. Not world class but a good player to have in the game.
aye!

I would say Boucher or McCullum. Dhoni is solid but nowhere near the best.

And Sangakkara was a quality 'keeper after an inauspicious start. He ended up being at least as good as Gilchrist was.
Too damn right he was. I can only go on what I've seen with my own two eyes and I've never seen Sangakkara keep wicket as badly as Gilchrist did during the 2005 Ashes series.

But Gilly didn't wimp out of keeping like Sanga has.

I'm reasonably peturbed that Dhoni's being mentioned as some catching god. He's not.

He has improved a lot since last summer. Him and McCullum are probably the two best going around at the moment.

The response on someone who has no more points left. Well done.
Boucher a better keeper than Dhoni. Not far-fetched is it?

I'd like to see how Boucher goes 'keeping to Kumble and Bhajji on a 5th day pitch in Delhi.

Not at all.

Yeah... I'd like to see Dhoni keep to some firebrands on a 1st day greener in SA... IIRC, he did wank the last time he was there. Wasn't too crash hot for the first two English tests either.

Nice. Go back to the 1st page and look up your reply to my post.
Dhoni is the best WK standing up to the stumps, going around at the moment, and hardly misses any chances to the pacers standing back. He sometimes is a bit reliant on 1st slip (which being Dravid or Tendulkar, isn't too much of a bad thing), which is his only fault. He does his job with minimal mistakes and no flashy stuff and that works out brilliantly.
And considering the wreck he was behind the stumps when he made his debut, his improvement is close to remarkable.

Yeah, he was a poor 'keeper from 2004 to 2007, but if you've seen him in the last 6-8 months you'll see a far, far better 'keeper. As Doremi said, his work standing up to the stumps has been brilliant. I've seen him stump a batsman (I think it was Ponting) quick as a flash off a 140 kph Pathan delivery down the leg side.

I've seen GO Jones do that, with Kabir Ali... I've seen the second quickest stumping and it was by GO Jones to Monty... I don't see anyone giving him a rusty trombone.

Let's all just calm down and agree that I'm better than Jesus. Something that we can all agree on.

I KNEW you'd bring up that Geraint/Kabir stumping you observent English cricket following piece of shite with a good memory you! I thought about it myself when mentioning the Dhoni/Pathan one.
Dhoni has a lot less f*ck ups than Geraint did, though. I can't remember him making a single mistake on the recent Australia tour.

You're almost as good at whinging and kicking up a stink as Jesus, you're far worse in the sack, carpentry and turning water into wine... so f*ck off.
