Why? The whole point is making a 'bad call'.
If they'd have said that 18 months later, it wouldn't be in a 'bad call' thread.
Need help with understanding anything else?

It seems that the obvious "I thought Warnie was a fat useless Vomit bogan" after he got smoked by Ravi Shastri in his first Test has been omitted.

Soz mate, I was dealing with kids all evening yesterday - dealing with one on here wasn't in my plans. I've got my "Ok, sonny" head on now.

Bad call. 1999.
My England team was something like-
Atherton
Stewart(c)
Flintoff
Thorpe
A.Hollioake
Sales
B.Hollioake
Read+
Tudor
Silverwood
Tufnell
For some reason, I really rated the Hollioake brothers, and I thought that Fred had the ability to be a counter attacking number 3 for England.

How much counter-attacking would he need to do at 3?

Sales was a bit slimmer and making double centuries and triple centuries for fun at the age of 21. Must have been close to selection against NZ in 99.

Not at all. He was nowhere near the team. There was a piece by a journo who was outraged someone as fat as Freddie could get in the team and it wasn't that long ago since Mike Fatting and Ian beef-fat Botham had been in the side, but the England party line was 'he needs to lose some weight'.

That comment is reasonable but the last s shouldn't be there.

You see that cannot be classed as a bad call, because Sales won't ever get a chance to make you swallow that preposterous remark, due to the fact that NPB is too good a cum guzzling!
Well actually yes that would be right, but only in a cum guzzling situation!

Coming out of day 2 of the Melbourne Test v Pak in Dec 72 my old man and I agreed that that day we had been 'priveleged' to see an entire Test career start and end: that of one Jeff Thomson, 0-100 off 17 overs of total slop.

Peter - now specialism here. Just can't explain Bell's run in the side otherwise.
JK - No cum guzzling required. Played for a dump-ass Minor county!!

Oh yes, and how could I forget Munaf Patel. I actually thought he'd be the pacer of his generation, or atleast a ATXI Indian.
He's a unthreatening 'trundler' now.

True, I take exception to Boeta being bracketed with Ramps. Boeta was a far superior player to Ramps
