Fabulous effort by the Shark so far. He started poorly last night and I thought "here we go" but he played excellent golf from that point and putted quite brilliantly.

Norman is probably most famous for leading after the third round of a major then not going on with it. Odds are that'll happen again tonight, but reckon I might watch to see if he can do it, it'd be freaking fabulous. And would wrap up a great weekend. Beating the yarpies in the rugby, a yellow jersey in the TDF, and Norman in the Golf. Would've got thousands to one on those on the same weekend a few weeks ago.

In Norman's favour is the fact that he doesn't care about golf as much now as he did 10-15 years ago. He's probably just enjoying himself.

Incredible story though, really. He's basically fully retired from golf these days apart from playing the odd major.

I really hope he wins.

I've heard stories that he is a bit of a qunt in real life, but I genuinely like him on the fairways.

I thought he had retired as I hadn't heard about him in ages, and then this. I really hope he can "hang"on.

It would be a fairytale if he could win. Ironic too given how many struggles he had with majors when in the prime of his career.

aye! The fact that he knows how to play in more than one way has been a large part of the story.

I've given this a bit of thought and have come to the conclusion that there is no possible way that Norman can win tonight.

Fate just doesn't work like that.

BTW - his record after leading after 3 rounds of a major is 1 from 7 (compared to Tiger's 14/14).

With 2/3rds of the field out there - only 4 players under par so far today. Looks a little breezy but WAY easier than the first 3 days.

Shark bogeys the first to Harrington's par.

All over. Harrington looks the winner again.

Norman bogeys the second too. The 2 stroke lead has disappeared just like that.

FFS - bogeys 3rd as well and loses a share of the lead. At this rate he'll shoot 88.

Bob Taylor's nephew one shot off the lead.

Norman now 4 over for the day after 6 holes. 2 behind Harrington who is scrambling beautifully.

Harringtons to lose...

None of the others strike you as 'major' winners and Normans lost it on the front 9 already

Harrington bogeys the 7th.

Amazingly, the best amateur is only 2 off the lead. We might get a smokey after all.

And Harrington bogeys the 8th. A tie again with there now being 9 players within 3 shots of the lead including Ben Curtis and the "next big thing" Anthony Kim.

Hmmmm, wonder if Ian Poulter can have a good last 6 holes and put a score 'on the board' as it were...

Poulter has just put one within a few feet. Looks to have all the momentum.

Norman has a one shot lead with 9 to play - historically that almost guarantees some Greek tragedy of a final 9. And that is without actually landing a ball on the fairway in the first 9 holes. Looks like he'll bogey the 10th though.
