The only thing Northern about Danny is his part of Hants.
He's a purebred Celtic South North East Midlander of the cosmopolitan world.

Okay - silence now ... but only because of your tick and I
know how "Northern" you can get.
Nice to have called it right though eh!
Also, for the record - I'm still out with the jury on KP's captaincy ...
before you wrongly start counting the wankstains.
It's as bad as red's obsession with the opposition skipper. That's damning it with heavy criticism. I swear both of you have nearly made my synapses implode with deja vu-itis.

Where's the Welsh or are the Britons just incorporated into it?
Re: England v South Africa, 4th Test, The Oval, Aug 7-11
Incorporated. Definitely. Mental. Genius.

Bell can't bat 3.
His record suggests it, you need a strong assertive bat at 3 to set the tone of the innings.

What's with the lack of atmos? My theory is that 96% of people who come from Surrey are utter qunts, with little or no soul.
Re: England v South Africa, 4th Test, The Oval, Aug 7-11
bit difficult to get up for it when you've already lost the series I suspect....
Either that or your theory is probably spot on

Are they Surrites at all at the Oval? I thought Tom was the only Surrey supporter.

It is. True. Still, most of the spectators must've had an inkling that they may have been attending a dead rubber, when they bought the tickets. Unless they're all on prozac or just don't know cricket.

Can't complain about Cook. Been pretty happy with him this series. Three 50s, averaging 43-odd. Just needed to push on for those hundreds. A definite improvement.

It really pisses me off how many of our players get to 30 & 40 and then chuck it away.
More criminal than Strauss getting out for 6
And when you've only got 5 bats HTF can you play a shot like that?
