Re: Ind v Pak, T20 WC FINAL, Johannesburg, 24th Sept
A fixed match would typically be a 'one-sided' contest like the Pakistan-New Zealand semi-finals OR the Australia-Zimbabwe one. Didn't follow the WI matches, there would be plenty of scam there as well.
The Indian media is going haywire showing clips of the 'great cricketers' etc and whenever that level of hype is built-up it usually is pointer towards a windfall in bookie market.
And in any case BCCI has already rewarded the cricketers with a million dollars and Yuvraj with a sports car. In their books they are already done with their largesse for the team, another indicator that the finals do not matter and they have a pre-decided outcome.

Makaveli wrote:You have got very strange theories buck, why can't India or Pakistan lose without a small minority of their fans calling it a fix? is defeat really that hard to take?
I have been hearing this for a long time (even before competition began) of T20 finals with India-Pakistan where Pakistan win.
Re: Ind v Pak, T20 WC FINAL, Johannesburg, 24th Sept
according to your 'sources' buck, was the ind v sa match fixed (ie sa not getting 126)?

Why the **** do you watch and comment on a game, the players of which are so corrupt, and the results you already know in advance?
Makes no sense.

yes that was fixed too. SA will not lose to Pakistan in SA. They are very stubborn on that. So NZ it had to be.

So, by your theory, SA preferred to take money, lose to India and not progress to the semis rather than take money and lose to Pakistan in the semis, hmmm. What will you say/write if India wins tomorrow?

Source of these "latest reports"?
Unless you are engaged in the betting and offering! Why would betting syndicates want Pakistan to win? Oh, prop up Musharaf!!!

A different story:
http://www.cricketnext.com/news/it-will-be-a-close-final-borde/27096-13.html
Mumbai: Former chief selector and Indian team manager to England, Chandu Borde, predicted a close Indo-Pak final in the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa on Monday.
Attributing India’s success so far to complete teamwork, Borde said, “after their tremendous performances against South Africa and Australia, the Indian boys’ confidence level was very high, which was a very good sign before the final”.

You're suggesting that Yuvraj has accepted money to fail?
I feel your posts are in preparation for an Indian loss, because you cannot accept that Pakistan could beat you fair and square.

Re: Ind v Pak, T20 WC FINAL, Johannesburg, 24th Sept
Apparently, Ricky Ponting is not happy,
1) According to him his team had to travel the most during Twenty20 WC,
2) His players getting unfit with each passing day,
3) Sree was allowed to get away by Hayden and Gilly in the initial overs despite bowling very poorly and his figures were quite flattering.

Hope the weather's better in SA than it is in London (like a November day today, grey, windy 'n wet) - wish both teams a lot of fun, and their fans and hope it's a great, if short, final.
ps Yuvraj and Afridi both to hit spectacularly fast and hard

I didn't want to take this in my hands but....
India win the toss, will bat first. Pathan in for Viru who's injured.

As India and Pakistan take the field to contest the final, cricinfo has collapsed under the weight of over a billion people logging onto it at once. Stupid website.
