Where is this "ultra-defensive" rant you mention? I see you and beamer slapping the lotion on each other's cocks about what a "wide range" of sports England does so well at, ("probably better than anyone else" wasn't it?) and suggested that Oz could claim a similar range of triumphs . . .

As for the other, all I can say is don't knock basement dwelling til you've tried it . . . .

You must remind me that when talking about English sport on a thread entitled 'Greatest sportsman' to slap on a little asterix at the end with the note that 'this no way means that Australia aren't the greatest sporting nation in the history of the universe' so as not to offend any of our antipodean friends.

Though how, 'not done badly' becomes 'we're the fckucking Greatest' in your eyes I don't know.
