Antigua - Curtly Ambrose, Andy Roberts.
Barbados - Malcolm Marshall, Obadele Thompson.
Guyana - Clive Lloyd, Rohan Kanhai, Shiv etc
Jamaica - Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell etc
Trinidad & Tobago - Brian Lara, Dwight Yorke, Ato Boldon.
St Lucia - Darren Sammy?
G. StA. Sobers fit there anywhere you think?
Aye he would fit in for Barbados over Obadele Thompson who was a good sprinter but not that good to be considered over Barbados' great cricketers.

Re: Greatest sportsman of each test country
Can't believe Henry Cooper got a mention for boxing yet no-one has mentioned Lennox Lewis.
He'd probably be my pick for greatest sportsman. Beat every opponent he ever faced. Think he has a better legacy than Calzaghe as well seeing as Calzaghe only started fighting decent opposition in the last few years (none of whom were in their prime bar Lacey and Kessler).

Agreed, Cooper probably wouldn't even make the top 10. I'd go for Lewis in boxing as well, or maybe Turpin purely for his victory over SRR.vilkrang wrote:Can't believe Henry Cooper got a mention for boxing yet no-one has mentioned Lennox Lewis.

Did you guys know that Eddie Charlton (of Pot Black fame) was also a top league player, pretty cricketer and boxer and won some surfing comps as well?

I hope he was better to watch as a cricketer. I'm sure he was a lovely bloke who gave enthusiastically to charity, but watching him play snooker was like watching paint peel.

Jack Brabham was the only bloke to win an F1 Championship in a car he owned and helped design and build. Not bad for some jumped-up Colonial, eh?

Many in India. SRT, Gavaskar and Kapil would be the cricket contenders. But I suspect Dhyanchand would stand out for his hockey heroics in our golden age. Paes or Bhupathi in Tennis....Probably even Milkha Singh and Abhinav Rathod.
