It's not as if Punter can say "Open Sesame" and some magic door will open like two halves of a delicious bun and reveal the next Keith Miller . . .

I'd be strutting if my primary task (between physio visits) was servicing Ms Furlong

Re: Aussie Ashes Squad
Of course, it is not his primary task, Mick. That would seem to be keeping a string of doctors and physios busy after yet another breakdown.

Well, that about wraps it up for Symonds, as far as Test cricket is concerned, surely.

Re: Aussie Ashes Squad
Manou FFS.
Yet another totally inapporpriate selection from the clueless NSP. He is barely going to play, he is 30yo, so why not give Wade or Hartley (who are actually candidates for future test spots) a taste of the big time.
MacDonald, though carp, at least is an incumbent.
There's not much batting cover though.

Re: Aussie Ashes Squad
McDonald- Batting average 21.4, bowling average 33.3
Watson- Batting average 19.7, bowling average 35.5
Sobers, Botham, Imran, Kapil Dev they aint. Australia seem obsessed with picking an all rounder for the sake of it. A bit like England in the 90's as they tried to search for a Botham replacement.

Maybe the Manour selection is a message to Wade/Hartley/Ronchi etc that they need to perform at State level and actually earn a spot
McDonald is only an incumbent because of injury ...and Clark and Lee have returned so they can farque him off ...He is a poor man's Watson (which makes him really shit)
The batting cover is being paid to play by the Pommy counties ...Rogers Voges Dussey(?) Taypodge(?) Hattie(?) ...

Fit-again Watson an 'Ashes must'
WTF?But Rixon said Watson should be considered a safer bet between the two all-rounders now that he is over his recent fitness problems.

It's Watson's one area of consistency. He is always over his recent fitness problem. Just in time for another issue to flare up.
