Who will be cricket's Next Big Thing?
A prime candidate...
...And I didn't even know the lad could bat!

Wayne Parnell is a special talent.
It's quite extraordinary how SAF have buckets of talent ready and waiting in the stocks.
I expect him to play some part in the ENG/SAF series in the Winter, a possible Test debut for the lad?
Mynah, what are SAF's test duties in the next few months?

FFS Pete, you're obsessed with the man!
He is still a young guy though, and he's having a decent season for us Dragons.
Something tells me he'll be poached by a Div 1 side next season...
I'm hoping he stays though!

He certainly was impressive when I saw him destroy us last month.

Though more NTICR than S.
Satire is a crude chopper - meaning the opposite of what you say.
Tongue-in-cheek is more pokingly mischievous (and playful) than red-misted lashing out.
Masters is a "good county pro". Like Glen Chapple - though Boris can bat sometimes.

As mentioned in the thread on the said subject, JKL's idea of Ross Kemp on Women was amusing with a touch of low-blowery about it.

Parnell is a great talent but the Saffies risk stuffing him up for real cricket if they keep on playing him in the JAMOTTs.

Re: Who will be cricket's Next Big Thing?
Next big things for each test nation-
England- Adil Rashid, Stuart Broad
South Africa- Wayne Parnell, Rilee Rossouw
India- Ishant Sharma, Piyush Chawla, Cheteshwar Pujara
Australia- Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja
New Zealand- Kane Williamson
Sri Lanka- Angelo Mathews
West Indies- Adrian Barath
Pakistan- Mohammad Aamer
Actually, I was just thinking that South Africa's pace attack could be awesome if all three of Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, and Wayne Parnell consistently bowl to potential. Mouth watering stuff.

South Africa easily have 3/5 of the best young players in the world right now. We could be in for era of Saffie dominance if they can maintain the supply line.

South Africa and India are producing the best young players. Pakistan and the Windies always seem to produce talented youngsters as well. The dominance both India and South Africa have had at at under 19 level over the last 5 years is starting to be reflected in senior cricket.

Duminy and Parnell at least.
Not sure about a 3rd who is better than Hughes, Rohit and/or Siddle.

That was my point. Duminy is the same age as AB.
