I'm not sure the asian block of the ICC will vote for that tbh, will they really want to deny Bangladesh only their 2nd win?

LOL they like being confrontational, even if it is 'only' test cricket.

There is no Asian block crap at an individual level. It's a figment of some paranoid imaginations of some non-subi forummers here. The England-Pak test forfeit results for example was changed by ICC from forfeit in Eng's favour to draw to a forfeit again by ICC and India/SL/Bangars had nothing to do with it!
That said, is it bangars fault the main test XI isn't playing them? Why should they be made to suffer and their wins denied them for no fault of theres? And if WICB insists on sticking to it's guns and this team plays the next year, will all their matches in in Champions Trophy and the tests thereafter be declared first class matches?

Umpire Hill has just given 2 absolute shockers against Reifer and Dowlin. I mean absolute fuggin howlers. It hit the pad and he put his finger up almost before they started appealing.
The players might be poor, but the umpiring is embarrassing. There is no way Hill or De Silva should be umpiring a test match at all, let alone together.

The only time there is an Asian block is when there is a major ICC event being hosted in the sub-continent or when there are ICC elections. Otherwise it's all individual business.

Aye - India is more than happy to screw over Pakistan and Sri Lanka when it suits it.

The sweat is beginning to show, Zat.Zat wrote:Funny, for the first time I find myself wishing Bangladesh's Test status could be revoked for fear of what they will do to their opposition.
Seriously though, if the Deshis bring this series home, they'll be the only ones on an ego-trip and WI and the rest of the world will have forgotten about it within a fortnight. This team doesn't represent the WI. Its just an impromptu party where the original invitees were indisposed. There's hardly any merit in it for BD. But hey, Wisden won't be asking.

West Indies C bowled out for 209, setting Bangladesh a target of 215 which could be tricky for them.
We only had 15 mins play but there was enough time for another howler from Ashoka de Silva. What on earth were the ICC thinking appointing the 2 worst umpires on the panel for the same match.

Well, frankly, it'd be embarrassing to have world-class umpires in a game between the two worst teams in the world, which shouldn't even have Test status.
Got the umpires they deserve...

I beg to differ........ nobody deserves umpiring like that, not even club cricketers.

Why didn't Roach take the new ball? Tino Best is truly rubbish.
Tino Worst is just too obvious, isn't it.

Reifer was trying to be clever with his captaincy. It didn't work...........
Seems absolutely crazy to me not to open with your strike bowler when defending just 215.

Great catch from Sammy. Him and Roach are 2 guys that should stick around when the top players come back (assuming they eventually do)

WICB should have that record. West Indies cricket whitewashed by the WICB.
Kemar Roach, Darren Sammy, Travis Dowlin and Dave Bernard can hold their heads high and say they didn't let themselves or the Caribbean down. Everybody else was absolute shite and clearly don't belong at test level.
I can't wait for the selectors to name their West Indies 'squad' for the ODI series. Who are they going to pick now? I am a solid medium pacer who can't bat against spin to save my life. Give me a play, I will fit in no problem with this lot.

I love Shakib; very talented cricketer. Five 5fers for him now; 2 vs SA, 1 vs NZ, 1 vs WI, 1 vs SL. And his HS in Tests (previous was 96 but a 96 with a * surely betters that). Like I say, best Bangladeshi cricketer ever. Perhaps a genuine all-rounder.
