The ICC shouldn't allow this game to have test status anymore. Floyd Reifer FFS.

The Windies players either threaten to go on strike or actuallly go on strike every other series it seems...
The ICC should ban them until the WICB sort out the mess.

The WICB are incapable of sorting any mess out lets face it, and this is some seriously messy stuff. I think Bangladesh should be quite nervous because this is a West Indies C/D team and if they lose, which is possible IMHO given our bowling attack, their test status will be severely questioned in the media.
My West Indies D team out of that squad selected:
Dale Richards
Kraigg Braithwaite
Travis Dowlin - wouldn't even make a Windies D team in normal circumstances
Floyd Reifer - ditto, though he still scores runs in FC cricket (1000 last year)
Andre Creary - 19 year old Jamaican, has played 1 FC match
Chadwick Walton (wk) - 3rd best wk batsman in the Caribbean at the moment.
Darren Sammy - Only proper international player in the side
Ryan Austin - decent offie, 9 wickets n the A team match
Nikitta Miller - excellent SLA bowler
Kemar Roach
Nelon Pascal/Tino Best
That bowling attack really isn't bad tbh, it has 2 promising pace-like-fiyah bowlers, a solid medium pacer and 2 spinners that are much better than Benn.
The problem is that the batting is truly awful.

The ICC should call the test off rather than cheapen test caps

If the ICC cared about cheapening Test caps they wouldn't have given Bangladesh Test status in the first place, so I doubt they'll care in the slightest.

Plus we had 6/7 debutantes when the same thing happened on our Sri Lanka tour in 2005/6 and the ICC did fugg all.

Food bowl? Well, suppose he had the munchies.

I'm afraid that this squad and the fact that its raining, means that WI is in serious sh!t.
Why couldn't they play Jagger or Gavin Wallace?
I'm very surprised Rawl Lewis didn't get a game, retired or not.

This might uncover a couple of diamonds among the rough of West Indian cricket.
OR
It might hand Bangladesh a first Test Victory away in the West Indies. It could be history in the making!

West Indies eleven - Omar Phillips, Dale Richards, Floyd Reifer (capt), Travis Dowlin, David Bernard, Chadwick Walton (wk), Darren Sammy, Nikita Miller, Tino Best, Ryan Austin, Kemar Roach
Darren Sammy and Tino Best FFS are my picks to do okay here.
Two frontline spinners for the Windies? Strange but I'll run with it.
Shakib is my pick from the Bangladeshi's to make inroads quickly.

WIFAN or kkf, what are the chances of any of these guys getting a REAL call-up if this dispute is sorted and if they have a decent Test series?

Should this match really keep its Test status?
If Bangladesh can't beat this lot then they don't deserve to keep theirs either...

Any of the bowlers have a real chance of getting a proper call up as we are always on the look out for pace. I didn't see today's play but apparently Kemar Roach looked in good order so I hope he gets a long run out tomorrow.
Also Austin and Miller are both better than Benn IMO so it could be a straight shoot out between the two. Also bare in mind that we don't know how the board will react to those that have gone on strike.
Also I would like to congratulate the ICC for forcing the WICB to host test matches during the hurricane season

Benn never really should have been called up to test matches. Miller should have always been in front of him even though I'm not convinced by Miller. Sammy and Bernard both will almost certainly get a call up at some points in the future. Richards would have played a test against England this year if he didn't get injured on the eve of the match. Reifer and Dowlin are solid FC pros but both are too old and honestly don't know much about any of the other batsmen
