Compare that with:
Chris Gayle
Adrian Barath - light years ahead of Phillips
Ramnaresh Sarwan
Dwayne Bravo
Shiv Chanderpaul
Brendan Nash
Denesh Ramdin
Jerome Taylor
Suliemann Benn
Ravi Rampaul
Fidel Edwards
After the strike I would say that Roach will replace Ravi, Gayle probably wont be captain, Darren Sammy will be in and around the squad, so will Bernard and Dowlin.

Re: West Indies v Bangladesh, 2nd Test, St George's, July 17-21
So three of the batting line-up have recently been in or around the Windies side, whereas most of the bowling line-up are either on the verge or have been a part of the Windies side at some point in their career (usually recently). Which makes it predominantly a B team, with the odd absolute dud (like Reifer and Walton) mixed in. Dale Richards would probably have ousted Devon Smith at the start of our tour to the Windies if he weren't a crock. Austin and Roach will probably be long-term members of the side, so too Austin. Hinds has recently been in the side and Sammy is generally on the verge. I make that five players who are there or thereabouts with Bernard and Dowlin doing their chances no harm.

Therefore it is a C team at best.
It is instructive that over 30 players decline the boards invitation to play.
