What an odd thread.

Why would anyone care what a ****** like Sandy thinks, says or does anyway? It's clear he's a pathetic Aussie wannabe with no friends, poor personal hygiene, and homosexual tendencies.

Many of the Italian, Greek families, for that matter those of north-west European descent have taken to Aussie Rules rather than cricket, both in playing and following. Whether or not that's due to any form of discrimination is a moot point.

Many players of Italian, Greek, Yugoslavian and Polish descent have already played for Australian states and even Australia ... following the big migration waves in the 50's and 60's.

Clubs and under-age Australian teams are already packed with Indian and Sri Lankan players, following the big South Asian influx over the last 15-20 years. Expect their kids to be selected in State teams and the National team in due course, probably within the next 5-10 years.

The following names suggest recent European migration:

di Venuto, Scuderi, Sacristani, Bassano, Panitski, Kasprowicz, Milosz, Hauritz, Dirtanovich, Yagmich, Rakich, Duperouzel, Schuller, Clingeleffer, Hilfenhaus, Lehmann, Rackemann, Seib, Deitz, etc etc ...

South Asians and their offspring have been few on the ground at State level so far, but there have been a few ... Mark Lavender, Darren Wates IIRC, Rusi Surti going well back, Malcolm Francke, Dav Whatmore, there was a young Asian bloke whose name I forget in the Australian under 19's last year IIRC, and I should not forget Lisa Sthalekar.

Or Richard Chee Quee ...

Stella when he's drink-driving, red wine when he's morosely sitting in his cellar being a moody count.
