FFS - Mourayen has been scratched.

Have subbed Niwot in for the triffies.

It was won of my horses in our work sweep.

The weather is fine, the crowd 100,000+ according to the track watchers.

Looks like an international win but Lucas C. is firming ahead of the frog horses atm.

Jukebox Jury is supposed to be the one to head the field early but his lack of a run in oz may count against him despite great overseas form. Americain will have to carry the same weight that only two other horses have done in recent decades to win.

Main bet on Niwot.

Smaller bets on Americain and Precedence.

All three boxed in a trifecta.

Wow, that was a dead heat, wasn't it? I'm not 100% convinced the French horse won it.

Prior to digital photography it would have been called a dead heat according to the experts.

That's surely as close as you can go to a dead heat without it being a dead heat.

It made Viewed's win over Bauer three years ago seem like a cakewalk!

Not suprised to see the Frenchy take it - the Geelong Cup tends to be a pretty good form guide.

My bloody nag would just about be finishing now. I hope they take the bloody thing straight to the knackers. Evil or Very Mad

At least i kept my perfect record intact. In 40 years of trying i have never won an office sweep.

Is there anything wrong with her? Or is the trainer just being a qunt to our wozzie brethren. I know they said yesterday they wanted to see how she pulled up, but it's not liked she was stretched or has been over raced.

They said she felt the hard track and pulled up a little sore

Nolen said she wasn't at her best. FFS she won by 5 lengths and jogged the whole way

Perth Racing had to refuse her a start because all the wozzie horses were requesting a gear change to white hoods

That was my point. 1.08 in a 1200m race ain't to shabby. I don't think she'll have a problem moving up to 1400 next year or even 1600, though I think it was 1600 that stopped Schillachi.

Maybe the trip west is scaring him.

.

Schillachi was your archetypal sprinter though (albeit an exceptional one) - it was not a surprise he couldn't get a mile. She is something different altogether. Given how easily she cruises in a 1200m I don't see why she wouldn't be able to extend it another 400m. And as sprinters going hard can't keep up with her stroll imagine what she would do to milers

We'd all love to her her take a crack at some of the middle distance studs.

I agree. It is so farking ridiculously easy for her at 1200m who knows how good she'll be if she's actually pushed.

I think this is the first time I've posted in this thread, and all I have to say is that when I first saw the "25 years" line, I thought they meant that they were going to jail for 25 years.

Anyway, carry on.

Frankel or Black Caviar for "world supremacy" ?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/horseracing/8954363/Frankel-odds-on-to-be-declared-best-racehorse-in-the-world.html

My vote, naturally, goes to the flying Frankel.
