For the record:

My box triffie is Americain, Dunaden, Jukebox Jury, Mouruyan and At First Sight.

I have win only bets for Dunaden, Jukebox Jury and Mouruyan and a place bet (for top 4) for Fox Hunt and Hawk Island (in case it pisses down while I am at lunch).

Dunaden - Williams lost appeal - suspension stays.

Ed Dunlop's Red Cadeaux - e/way at 33's.
Weighted (5 lbs better in for 1 l) to reverse form with Jukebox Jury.
Better still if there's more rain.

Americain is the one to beat though.

Yeah mate, it's true! Melbourne Cup is pretty big though!
But then, with England's cricketers top of the heap there's sod-all else to talk about/grovel over now !!
Ashes domination followed by the 9 - nil whitewash of the Indians this summer said it all ...!

How you doing, you old sod?

Bart Cummings is talking down his chances a lot this year, and even said he's not very confident that his horse Illo will do well.

I reckon it's a cunning plan. Time to put $20 on Illo.....

Sound, that's good stuff then. I'll summarise the last few months for you... the Indians on here (bar furry) all sh!t their bits during the thrashing they got. They've pretty much all mysteriously returned now. Hmmmm.

Oh, and the Aussies don't actually like cricket anymore. You can speak to them about horseracing, rugby, Formula 1, football, Chinese food, trees, lesbian cuttlefish, beef chimichangas... but they won't to talk about cricket.

I can see where you're going with this, there are and they were specifically bred for this purpose. Along with the strapon-wielding cuttlefish.

FFS - Mourayen has been scratched.

Have subbed Niwot in for the triffies.
