The jock looks like he is going out in the first round, funny stuff.

I hope Federer can pull off a win, would be ace to see him in contention with getting an annual grand slam coming into Wimbledon.

Nadal will win it back though this year I fear.

Apparently some bloke who may or may not answer to JGK plonked $1M on Federer to win $10k last night.

Seems mental to me.
Either he has a shed load of cash - in which case what's 10k?
Or he had just enought to cover the bet in which case it was a bloody big risk.
Or it was Gabby Dan/??? in which case it all makes sense

Yeah, heard that this morning.

All I could think of was the guys who put 1000s on Aust after 50 overs of the 434 game.

Hewitt is actually a good clay courter. There's not much you can do when you keep running into Nadal though.

Hewitt's French Open losses over the past 10 years:

2010: Nadal
2009: Nadal
2008: Ferrer
2007: Nadal
2006: Nadal
2005: DNP (injured)
2004: Gaudio (eventual winner)
2003: Robredo
2002: Canas
2001: Ferrero

The ironic thing is that I think his game on clay has improved since the time when he was world number one. The only problem is his game overall is worse meaning he never gets a high seeding anymore.

Obviously he's not good enough to win it but he certainly could have made a final or two with a bit of luck.

Rubbish. He pretty much single handedly won a Davis Cup final away on clay.

Yeah maybe. Still, I was at that final in Nice - it was one of the best sporting events I have ever been to so I will defend the Scuds softness when needed.

Meanwhile, the tall Williams lost today. Sucked in.
