As regret seems to be reverberating around the UK, maybe a Scottish veto is in order.

"Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has suggested the Scottish Parliament could be able to keep Britain from enacting its referendum to leave the European Union.

Sturgeon, determined to keep Scotland inside the EU, said on BBC that she would consider advising the Scottish Parliament not to give "legislative consent" to a British exit, or Brexit."

To be honest skulls even if we don't end up leaving the EU, I feel that the country is already lost.

When going out and about I've been seeing it through different eyes now, since the result people are loudly and proudly telling anyone foreign looking to "go back home" in the streets.

You think it can't happen near you but I read a story of it happening just down the road from me, where there is a Polish supermarket. Saw a car with a Polish flag flying yesterday and thought "good on you mate" but then in the evening read that in my area every known Polish person has been sent threats through their letterboxes telling them to go back home "Polish scum".

It's not a nice country at the moment, I'm not sure whether it's just my eyes that have changed, it feels like a nasty, spiteful and massively divided place to live at the moment.

Have mentioned moving already and still very serious about this.

And now the Bovver Boy "heroes" come out in force

"A rise in racist incidents across the UK in the last few days has been blamed on the Brexit referendum result causing some people to "think it's open season for racism".
Political leaders called for action against intolerance, and vigilance against racism, after police said hate crime reports had risen by more than 50 per cent between Thursday and Sunday compared with the same period four weeks ago."

Some talk now that the new PM might go to a General Election before Article 50 is activated.

So WTF happens then if they lose the election to a Remain party or coalition?

So the UK faces the prospect of having no Prime Minister, and no opposition leader, at the same time.

Why the Labour party ever though it was a good idea to appoint Jeremy Corbyn as their leader is beyond me.

Wasn't it the "rank and file" who appointed him. I thought his MPs didn't want him there at all.

Being on the same side as Howard and Greg Sheridan hurt, a lot.

I've always wondered what would have happened if Howard had been in opposition during Port Arthur.

We are where we are. The outcome of the referendum has to be respected, so the government will have to set the wheels in motion. For what its worth, I think access to the single market is essential and worth any sort of compromise on freedom of movement.

I would also be in favour of another referendum two years down the line when the negotiations have been completed. That will then be the final word one way or the other.

I'm still in effigy burning mode though.

The young are angry about Brexit, but when you examine the voting figures, you have to question their apathy in making their voice count!

It's annoying, now is the time to attack the Tories not attack their own leader. Labour missed an open goal.

And I'm annoyed that my generation didn't vote, have seen people complaining about the vote but also saying "well no, I didn't vote, but my one vote wouldn't have made a difference".

I voted but unfortunately over a million people didn't have my attitude but had the attitude outlined above. Sad.
