I only just his goal against Sunderland last night. A little bit of pre-jizz came out

Wouldn't be surprised if Wales cause an upset today. England are not a happy team under Capello.

Re: The Football Thread - 10/11
Well, it's only the "derby effect" and English disharmony that could possibly get them anything out of this. Wales are a really poor side, particularly without Bale, they've lost every qualifier so far and offered nothing against the Irish last month.
If England score early I think it will be 3-0 or 4-0, but if not then the frustration might grow. Capello is lucky though in that he's got a really easy qualifying group here, when Montenegro are your closest challengers that says something about the quality in there, though the craptitude of the Swiss was surprising.

Who gives a crap if they're happy or not. Play the game, you bunch of manginas.
Re: The Football Thread - 10/11
If that was all it took to sort that lot out and get them playing for the pride of their country rather than just personal gain, then you would have had the manager's job by now. "We're bored"... "We don't like them booing us"... and that's just Rooney, there's two or three worse influences than him in the squad!Dello wrote:Henry wrote:Wouldn't be surprised if Wales cause an upset today. Not that it's all Capello's fault. The national setup is rotten to the core and has been for ages.

Yeah, that's why I was in support of a massive clearout of the "golden" generation after the World Cup flop. Wrong attitude, wrong atmosphere, and if they didn't win anything at their peak they certainly aren't going to do so now they are in their 30s, they are only going to corrupt the younger players and get the same attitude into them.
Two "world class" foreign managers and an English hopeful have had a go at sorting out this bunch, they're nearly all Champions League quality players and they struggle to beat Championship quality sides. It's time to move on, but obviously Capello is taking the short-term view as this is his last tournament (assuming they qualify), he's not going to take risks by clearing out the old guard.

Like an English cricket selection meeting discussing Luke Wright, it seems you grotesquely overestimated the ability of Wales.
Weren't even good enough to call them a pub team. England gave up after 15 minutes. Game over, just sort of lollop'd around in first gear for the rest of the time.
Smerk won't be back.

Naymar, widely considered to be the next big thing in World Football, has scored for Brazil against Scotland. I hear Chelsea is after him. He'll cost at least 50 million.

Mesut Ozil, Philipp Lahm & Sami Khedira are all too scared to take on Australia on Wednesday. Well, not really. It is unfortunate for us spectators who would have liked to watch Ozil tormenting our team.

Pretty hard to believe. Someone in Scotland had some fruit?

Aye, maybe a banana fritter or a banana-flavoured Mars bar, deep-fried, or maybe one raspberry. I was stunned.

Australia have defeated Germany in an international 'friendly' this morning. Why could'nt the tossers have done that in the World Cup.
Re: The Football Thread - 10/11
England drew 1-1 with Ghana..... i'm so out of touch with the national side i've not even heard of half the players.

Aye, friendlies mean fark all unfortunately. I've always thought they should be called "tests" rather than friendlies and that they should count towards world ranking points. Teams might start to take them a bit more seriously.
