Terrific partnership from Tendulkar and Ganguly, got themselves in and then accelerated towards the close of play. I thought Pakistan bowled really well (especially Shoahib) but sometimes you just have to give credit to the batsmen.

Note to Buckaroo - The match fixing angle has gotten old, isn't funny anymore.
Good match. Can't log on to the net since the last few days at home. Kumble's done brilliantly as the captain. Wasn't very keen on him before the series, but he has turned out to be a good pick. The only problem now would be how long he can carry on just as a player in the team. The batting looks good, Jaffer was sublime today.
Crap pitch, if it wasn't for the brainless batting by both the teams, this would have been a high scoring draw.

Is it just me, or have test match pitches in India been very hard going for batsmen in recent times?

except for a few dismissals out of the 33 so far in the match, the batsmen are to be blamed for playing reckless shots. 3 run outs were comical. at least 20 batsmen were dismissed only because of their mistakes.so, blaming the pitch would be wrong. the pitch was certainly 2 paced. only a few less than 4 wickets can be said to be a bit assisted by the behaviour of the pitch.
the 2 remaining tests will hopefully be high scoring tests.

Good Test match for Kumble, well done India. I'll congratulate now.
Will India lose any more wickets to the thirty-two runs ... will Pakistan win at least one of the next two Tests .......

Are the so called match fixing taunts made in "seriousness" or "clever baits" ? If it is the former it is a big worry, for the one who is making the accusations that is

I hope not! this test has been very entertaining, with batsman being rewarded for playing sensibly and actually applying themselves. It's nice to see the FTB's not having their way. I would hate for a repeat of the farce of the first two tests when India last toured Pakistan.
Bring on real test match cricket!

Good game, Shoaib bowled really well today if only he could keep it going over a long period.
The pitch has got better, neither MoYo or YK showed up for us esp when we needed them to score big in the second innings.
Congrats India they have batted extremely well in the last innings.

We don't need high scoring tests. We need to continue with result orinted wickets and matches, else it only serves to build up pointless invidivual aggregates and averages.

Shoaib bowled extremely well and quick yesterday, consistently clocking 90+ mph, but was negotiated well by Ganguly and Tendulkar which may in the end turn out to be the test winning one for India..

The ball on which Shoaib castled Dravid was such a ferocious in dipper, bowled at such a high speed and moving in so much off the seam. Dravid could only nod his head in disbelief after seeing his rattled stumps.
I think its safe to say that he has not bowled any better than this against India since those 2 consecutive deliveries which castled Dravid and Tendulkar's stumps in that epic test being played at Eden Gardens 8 years back.

As I predicted one of Jaffer or Karthik would be found out during the 7 Indian tests this winter. As things stand atm, its Karthik who is being more or less found out in the first of those 7 tests itself.

BTW Delhi received a minor tremor at 4:45 am today, measured 4.3 on Richter scale. That tremor ensured that I wake up early to see the final session of this test.

India will be successfully chasing 200+ runs only for the second time at home, in '64 against Australia at Mumbai.
Last such instance was at Adelaide against Australia in '03.
