Re: Ashes Dream team competition
My only hope of moving from fourth up is that the three ahead don't have Johnson. A tenfer would be nice, plus I'd get paid on the drawn series.

You can see what players others have. Do a bit of clicking.

I did. You don't have Midge, though parts of the site are updated at diffent times. On my teams home page I'm 400 runs behind on my actual score on another page.

aye, the updates aren't universal. However, it was Johnson you were wondering about. If you knew how to find out if those in front of you had selected him then wtf did you ask ya dopey prick.

It wasn't a question it was a statement. At the time I checked the three ahead didn't have Midge.

I figured if she couldnt be arsed with using a capital then I wouldn't bother checking; and talking of scotums ....... I heard last night that Callum Ferguson (played around 30 ODIs for Aus) took a sharp wrap from a Kookaburra before Christmas and won't be playing for a further two weeks. I guess he'll be looking to adopt children.
Um, she spells it with one L. Doesn't care for Shelly or Mischa neither.

Congrats to Mick on what looks like will be a comfortable win.
You and her ladyship had identical teams bar one player .....
You had Strauss, who got you 60 odd points. Michele had Trotter whos duck cost her 20. Chances are he won't bat again, and he can't even redeem himself by taking a shedload of wickets in your second innings.
The fcuking useless chodder !!!!!!

There's nobody else can do it - you'll go point for point with her with the other 10 picks. I can't even see captaincy making a difference, I think you're too far ahead.

I hadn't taken a look to be honest.
Wonder if lardy will ship up a pie with a consolation cream bun in the post to Michele?
Edit: No smut intended.

Re: Ashes Dream team competition
No, she ended up third. It all depended on Trott taking more points than Strauss at Sydney, which of course didn't happen. She did beat me, however so it's like fcuking tinitus in my lugs.
She now informs me that had she won, she expected to be in Sydney for the next Ashes Test there. Not only that, she was to be taken for a posh meal, with Mick, Zat, Lardy and the Skullmeister as her personal waiters, whereupon afterwards she'd give said gentlemen a lesson on selecting a winning team
As for me, there's only one course of action open.
Goodbye lads, it's been a real pleasure bantering with you all over the years.

Cheers Growls, well played.
And should you ever make it down under for an Ashes, I'd be more than happy to welcome you and the better half to an ale or two at a game.

A trip down to the chippy & a bottle of snoozer Sav Blanc should sort it mate. She'll know you're the man.

I think this is the final standings in some form. Can't believe Michele didn't give Mick a run for his money and slipped to the bronze.

Re: Ashes Dream team competition
well played all ... like many Australian supporters I was severely handicapped by misplaced patriotism (it might have helped to change the team before the 5th Test, too, but the limbo dancers were flat on their backs by then anyway).
Perhaps someone more competent might run the affair in 2013 ...
Maybe it's a good time to ask HTF a poor Australian might get tickets to the English grounds in 2013, if he knows he'll be over there now? It seems to be easy enough for you English chaps out here, with the bigger ground capacities etc ... but it just seems impossible to obtain tickets to the English Ashes matches unless you live in England and have membership OR ridiculous luck in the 'lottery' OR you pay a scalper.
