Actually, I see that Paul Hibbert played one test.
Still, pretty amazing record given that quite a number would be in their 70s by now.

Sadly, recent health reports on a 70s leggie are not at all promising. Hopefully, he will still be around for many more years.

Re: Celebrity Death List MMXI / The Death Thread 2011
I remember Carew well as a 'happy hooker' who had an excellent tour of Australia in 68-69, averaging 40 and scoring four half-centuries mostly in partnership with Roy Fredericks. That opening pair is now re-united. He came to Australia with no reputation at all and left rated the Windies third-best bat behind Sobers and Kanhai.
As was normal then, the Windies played a series in NZ on their way home, and Joey's only Test ton came in the first Test. Outside the six months of that OZ/NZ double tour, he scored only one other Test half century.
One story is that his nickname 'Joey' was another souvenir of that Oz tour, for his small stature and quick footwork.
Re TJ: There was a story in the Melb SPFSP before Christmas that Jenner was gravely ill with congestive heart disease (from memory), and unlikely to be around too much longer. He didn't look good at all in the pic with the report, and the story mentioned that his upcoming wedding had been brought forward. He commentated for the ABC in the Melb and Sydney Tests and addressed that report in one early shift on-air, but I only caught the tail end.

I hope this doesn't happen before (or during) the Bluesfest at Byron Bay over the Easter weekend. I was thinking of going to that. Last I heard BB is performing there along with Bob Dylan, CW Stoneking, Washington, Elvis & many others.
Do you have a link to that, Wally?
Looks as though Monday is sold out already.

Lardy, were any of those acts of interest?

Just reading it now - missed your earlier reply. Definitely yes!
CW Stoneking, Jeff Lang, Toots and the Maytals, Jethro Tull (can't imagine what incarnation that might be) for starters ...
and BB King of course
