Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Surely all they have to do is remember that the glass they dipped their todger in goes to KP. Shouldn't take too much practice

Wright FFS Yardy FFS & Tredwell FFFFFFFS are complete & utter wank in 50 over cricket.
The panning of Strauss is because he's done the same in the Aus series - had the top order shot out for bugger all then had 'em smearing 9rpo from the sh!t fillers bowlers ........
Blame the initial selection if you like - and I'm with you with regards to Wright and Tredwell, but Strauss is stuck with what he's been given. So, it makes sense to give them a trundle.

I wonder if Tahir and Cheema would have made the Pak squad
They both seem quite talented.

Poms and Waksters play the last warm up game when they go around at Fatullah in under an hour. Luke Wright to make 80 and take 4-30?

Bizarre still playing "warm-up" matches after the opening ceremony. Where's the decorum in that? Where's the organisation? Eh? Eh?

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
I meant more the organisation in the Pom camp.
But it was more or less a rhetorical question.
We're doomed, I tell you. I hope they didn't book too many nights accommodation.
Mind you, the bloody opening phases go on for ever. So the Poms might see out a couple of weeks.

Phurt. England have by far the easier group, up against:
Ind
SAf
WI
Bangers
Paddies
Clogs

Well you only have to smash the Clogs, Bangers and Spuds and you're through. I'd think you'd knock over the Windies as well, unless Crystal goes apesh!t.

Easier said than done when you are England and it's ODIs.

I wouldn't necessarily back England vs the Barrels in the 50-over format.

Geez, the Strausser has gone sh!t since the Tests in Aus. Another failure in the current game, having his poles skittled by Chucktar.

He didn't do too badly in the Aus ODIs, did he? Seem to remember him getting a couple of 50s.

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Your memory is fine, Trev. Coupla 63s for Strauss in the Aus JAMODIs. 3 single figures (including a gozza in the last one) + 19 and 23 to go with them.

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
He's probably knackered, and he's never been the most natural one day player. Not a bad jamodi record, though. I think this World Cup will be his last appearances in an England ODI shirt (unless England go and win it). Should retire and concentrate on the tests.

Except for the likes of SRT, that seems to be the way of many players.

Except a lot of players (unfortunately) are going the other way and giving up tests for jamodis and T20.
