Re: World Cup Warm up games.
This all reminds me of the 1992 World Cup when Aust and India played each other many times over the summer and both crashed and burned in the WC.

England 188/7 after 40 overs. Will prolly still be enough to beat Canada but....oh dear.

Canadian players of subbie heritage obviously thriving in the dust bowls. Poms 7-206.
Qunt Prior should still get 'em to 250 but.

Wow, really??!! I actually had a quick squiz at the Canadian home page before the game to check but couldn't find the likely XI. How old is Davo now?Big Dog wrote:FFS...Davison is still playing for Canada
And he got rid of Trott, something none of our spinners had much luck with all summer.

To answer my own Q, Davo turns 41 in May.
FFS, Warnie would have 1000 Test wickets if he did a Davo!!!!

Can England bat out its 50? Currently 229/9 with two to go.
The suspense is killing me.

Amusing. England will probably still win by 100 but.

Aye...a good effort from the Canucks though.
Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Poms didn't make it to the end. 2 balls shy. Indeed a good effort by the Moose farkers.

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
And half the Canucks only got their visas to play in the tournament a week or so ago. So their preparation would have been rubbish.

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Davo's career JAMODI all round figures are actually pretty bloody good. Average of 30 at better than a run a a ball and more than 1 wicket a match at less than 29 and an ER of 4.2.

Are you sure? They may have only just flown in from Pak, Ind, Ban and SL. They may be very well prepared.JGK wrote:And half the Canucks only got their visas to play in the tournament a week or so ago. So their preparation would have been rubbish.

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
The Pak born players were only given their Indian visa recently. I wouldn't have thought the Cricket Canuck had enough money to have a camp outside India before than but who knows.

Third different opening partnership in three games.
A stupid person might think England haven't got a f*cking clue what they're doing...
Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Luke Wright- 0 with the bat, and now 0/11 off 1 over. And all against the might of Canada. What a star.....

Re: World Cup Warm up games.
Well, it looks like the Canucks may get within 100. This Cheema character seems like he can bat a bit. Plenty of overs left - who knows.
