The Stewart thing was a far more serious allegation and was in the aftermath of a club function where, amongst orther things, one of their players hit one of their sponsors.
BTW - has the "victim" in the Benji case had the balls to out himself? What a qunt.

Well, we all know that, JGK, but the sooks in the north east like to think the whole world hates them. Of course, they're right.
And one wonders what goes through the head of these boofheads that like to bait "famous" sportsmen. Probably not a lot, I suppose, other than copious alcohol.

And some training footage from Redfern this week showed Inglis doing some sprint work. Hell's Bells, he's been in a good pasture.

I think he'll get plenty of interchange time on the bench in the first few rounds.

There hasn't been any talk of any kind of sanction/non sanction as of yet has there?

For Benji? He is free to play pending the outcome of the assault case.

For who? Benji? I think the NRL isn't going to do anything.

Moved into a new office today, right next to a bloke who's desk space and surrounding partitions are paper mached with Bulldogs garbage. It could be a long winter.

Apparently 3 guys confronted Benji and his girlfriend. Benji may well go the self-defence route.

I heard the police were claiming there was no suggestion of a racial slur. Just an unfavourable comparison with Lockyer.

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Hadn't heard that.
Just on the Nooz, it had the 3 wise men of Manly heading up a press conference to have another whinge about the light handling of Carney and Marshall. FFS, you arseclowns, Brett Stewart made a complete dick of himself at the Manly season launch (he was asked to leave due to his drunken behaviour), and it was 2 years ago. Farken sooks.
And to top it off, Des Hasler said he reckoned Stewart didn't bring the game into "misrepute". Hmm, stick to instructing the neanderthals, Dessy.

It could be (and this isn't a jab) that you're getting the spiv spin and I'm getting the banjo spin. The papers here are suggesting it was two on one to Benji but his mate skipped.
I know if it'd had been a bronco player the Courier would've had the other party well and truly lynched by now.

Yeah, could be spin. I really don't care either way. If Benji farked up then he should suffer the consequences. It's more the useless bleating from Manly that amuses the hell out of me.
And feel free to jab away, qmy, it's all good fun.

They still wheel ol' Kenny Arthurson out when the occasion warrants, h. But at 82, he's looking a bit weatherbeaten and senile.

Gallop yawns at Manly
"NRL chief executive David Gallop ignored Manly coach Des Hasler's latest request for an "explanation" over the league's handling of the Brett Stewart punishment of 2009, telling the Sea Eagles "enough is enough".
"The club wants an explanation," fumed Hasler, hours after naming Stewart to start in his side's season opener against Melbourne Storm.
However, Gallop on Wednesday showed no remorse for Hasler and the NRL club, saying Stewart is free to get on with his football and that the Manly club should do the same.
"Frankly, I think enough is enough on that issue," Gallop told a press conference.
"We're (the NRL) not going to revisit something that happened two years ago; Manly had every opportunity to appeal those decisions at the time, and they didn't."

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
It's hard to know WTF Manly is playing at. If they don't want Stewart consistently being compared to the other bad boys why are they making such a song and dance over it?
Oh that's right. They are Manly. They can't help being chippie qunts.
