Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Tandy's contacts must've been spewing when Thurston took the quick tap.

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Welly well well
"Manly have been shocked by news that dual NRL premiership-winning coach Des Hasler will coach Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs from 2013.
Hasler will serve out the final year of his contract with Manly. in 2012, before heading to the Bulldogs in 2013."
-------------------------------------------
I suspect Manly will have a Dragons-2011-like year in 2012. Competitive but a bit flat and down on intensity.

Nice of Will Hopoate and Dessie to wipe some of the gloss off Manly's "glory".

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
A couple of big names have passed away in the last two days - Dick Thornett & Keith Holman. Both played many tests for the Kangaroos. Dick also played Union & Water Polo for Australia & Keith became a coach & referee after his playing days ended.
RIP Dick & Keith.
RIP Dick & Keith.

Wow. Dick Thornett - along with his brother Ken - were the first two greats to play for the mighty Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club. I'm too young to have seen Dick play, but I grew up to the sound of my father raving about him. He'd wax lyrical about Dick Thornett's size, his speed and his handling skills. He also played for Randwick during his days in the amateur code - the same club my dad played for and that I would subsequently support.
The closest I ever got to Dick Thornett in the flesh was when I drank at his old pub, The Dolphin. Yet I feel like a part of me has just disappeared.
Life can be funny like that.

Aus snotting the Kiwis with fantastic football at Newcastle. Pretty awesome XIII they have on the park. Uate should've had a 1st half hattrick within 20 minutes but spilled a bird from a flying Slater.

Aye, it was a p!ss-weak lowlife effort. Locky probably lucky not to finish his career with a smashed cheekbone AND a broken jaw.
But just to confirm the man's class, he was on his feet and setting up Uate's first try a minute later. What a champ.
When's the 4-Nations start?

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Aus leading 16-0 at half time in the 4 Nations but Kiwis score a very dodgy try after HT. Looked like the speculator kick came off the Kiwi fullback and went forward before Nightingale fell on it over the line. Currently 16-6
And is it just me, or are these Pommy commentators biased as all fark against the Aussies??

Manly sack Dessie for recruiting players to Doggies so won't pay out the last year of his contract.
Hello lawyers.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.

Quntish act by Dessie from a quntish neck of the woods. I'm hardly surprised. He'll fit right in at the Dogs.
But it does sound like the Manly Board have been a pack of qunts all year.
