Yes, though they were a tad shaky against Canada.

No team really looks fantastic.
We all know England's problems, South Africa have raised a whole lot of questions today, India's bowling is rubbish, Aus have no decent spinner, Sri Lanka's batting is showing a few cracks, as is Pakistan's the Windies, and New Zealand.....
Hard to pick a favourite, but i'd go with Sri Lanka....just.

Well, Oz haven't really "dropped" a point. More had it taken away by force majeure.
So who is to be counted as the favourite now?
I suppose something like: 1= India, Australia, 3= Sri Lanka, South Africa, 5 Pakistan (though capable of beating anyone on a good day)?
But it's early days yet.

Why SL? They didn't show much form v Pakistan.

As a pom you should be happy it almost made Jimmikins look a good bowler.
I agree, it wasn't all down to choking. Only the Du Plessis run out reeked of panic.
But even if the South Africans honestly feel in their hearts they didn't choke, the C word will be in every single report of this game tomorrow morning, which will pile the pressure on them.
yep, I agree, lets face it most reporters are as thick as Red
Stay in denial then. You lost ten wickets for just over a ton including an awful shot from JP and an unnecessary run out. That crap lower order won't change either and just might be needed to pull you through. At least SA fans don't have to get too excited this WC because they just don't seem to have the team on paper which can win it.
fark off. You hid away from this board during the Ashes.
You hid away from this board when SA farked Aus in Aus,
And yes, if you had been here recently you might have seen me bitching about the SA team and how we had no cahnce in this WC
Silly Aussie bitch qunt.

Sehwag has hit a four off the first ball of every Indian innings in this World Cup so far.
Granted, the one against England was a bit streaky....

Under normal circumstances i'd be cheering on the Irish but in the interest of England's guaranteed next round qualification, I have to say chak de India.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Epic choke.
And as usual someone here refuses to accept the result as a choke.
When SA were suddenly down 5 wickets after 125 runs, the memories of their recent choke against India in the 2nd ODI in the last one day series came to mind. Started wondering if another low scoring choke was on.....
Well down England and thanks for providing all the entertaining games so far. Thats showmanship at it's best.

And has India committed suicide by choosing 5 bowlers and letting Irish get to 200+? I was all gung ho about seeing them sink below 100 against our spinners.......

India looks committed to emulate SA in today's choking stakes. Where other teams have been walloping minnows with whopping NRRs to credit [bar Ireland] we have been giving them respectable outings.

Chawla's bowling last 2 games is so FFS. Has to be his last WC game this tournament at least.

Well I did say we're capable of that. Now watch us lose to Bangladesh...
Only seen a few highlights but looks like we didn't bat very sensibly at all. As for SA, well Taips said before the tournament started that playing such a long tail will bite them in the arse at some stage.
Difficult crumbly pitch by all accounts, but 171 shouldn't have been enough.

Thanks JKL, but as usual the addled qunts like batman and red will trot out the tired choker line. One wonders why people who know SFA about cricket waste their time frequenting a cricket forum.

Disagree about the pitch - it just didn't do it for the batsmen. It made for a more exciting game IMO. Jimmy IS agood bowler, it's just that he does his darndest to disguise it sometimes.

It's quite amazing that despite looking so ordinary for most of the time, England have beaten South Africa, and should have beaten India before tieing with them, but yeah, they also lost to Ireland. What a rollercoaster already.

India not exactly eating this target up but the match would certainly appear to be well in hand for them.

India making it difficult for themselves chasing a small total of 207. 101-4 atm. Need a 50 run partnership here.
