Well played the unfancied teams.
Maybe there's hope for the Southern Spiders yet.

Great farking win by the wozzies and against the Shield champs no less.
Voges in the runs is a good sign. Perhaps the summer offers some hope.

Has Voges still got an international future?
(not talking of T20)

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Voges is a forgotten man in Australian cricket (the other one is Chris Rogers) ... he was 12th man before North debuted, I think, but has never been touted as a Test prospect since. He averages just 40 in FC cricket (Rogers' average is much higher I think) but he tends to make big hundreds when he makes them. Like North.

Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
Fantastic game of cricket at the WACA
Well played by both teams
Top First Class innings played by Davis and Bailey where they put high values on their wickets to occupy the crease for long periods without trying to score at a run a ball
Johnson was in his best form in the second innings where he turned the game back to WA after Bailey Ponting Cosgrove and Faulkner had put Tozzie into a strong position
A good double to Voges
and good returns to Butters and Hogan
Lots of twists and turns in the games ...and best of all a win to the wozzies

A reminder to people that a good game of First Class cricket sh!ts all over anything that limited Overs bashathons can provide

No arguments here. Seems like FC cricket > Test cricket in popularity over in strine.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
It will seem that way until national team sort their sh!t out ...
When we pick our best team in terms of skill , technique and mental preparation we will push to to the top again ...now we just watch a bunch of talented wasters get rich for losing and playing poorly ...
Then the Dingos will rise and show the Badgers how to be over arrogant qunts again

I look forward to it. Or at least a contest. It'll be over two years since we've had a contest. The chase is almost better than the prize, though.
Re: Australian Domestic Cricket 2011/12
I've gotta say, Josh Hazlewood seems to have come back from his serious back injury a bit of a medium paced trundler.

Dubbers crab around to 262 despite a 200 opening stand for Phews and Ussie.
Barrels should do it easy.

Outside of the Australian squad, there's not many big hitters in Australian Cricket at the moment.

Forrest caught Carters Bowled Pattinson 1.........Hmmmm
Having read this dig at Mr Forrest's unfortunate first innings a few days ago, I was expecting there would also be a post praising his second innings century.
But no. It was totally ignored. What has become of good manners these days?
Poor forumming.

A Madeiran and a Pak trumped by a Flying Dutchman?
It's an international game these days!
Shouldn't they be playing grown-up cricket, now the Shield is on?
