Re: Bruce Francis
He'd have had more luck with that thing under his arm than with the Stuart Surridge or whatever (actually I wonder which bat manufacturer asked him to shave their logo off his bat so that they weren't associated with him?).

Re: Bruce Francis
you'd struggle to keep it in too if you heard about a selection like that.
Hang on, let's see:
Usman Afzaal. Paul Curtis. Aftab Habib. John Stephenson.

re: taips (can anyone else not quote at the moment?) - Pattinson! I knew I was forgetting an absolute turd of a selection. Must've blanked it out. Too harrowing.

Oh, I don't know - Gavin Hamilton's one-and-done Test of 0, 0-63, 0, is hard to beat for empty vessel-ness.
Re: Bruce Francis
Francis.....3 tests for 52 runs at an average of 10.4
Highest score 27.
If he was playing today he'd still be in the side.

Re: Bruce Francis
Didn't he have a migraine at Trent Bridge in '72 and never played again? Must be the longest headache in Test history.

No, the headache that he gave lardy via his epic drossness is the longest headache in history. lardy is still throbbing in the temple region as we speak.

If quntishness is measured in centimudges and chappellis ... uselessness could be measured in Francis Units.
Utility, of course, could not ... as he had no utility at all ... unless we get into unreal numbers ...
