Re: Bruce Francis
Shit cricketer, a dilettante from NSW, incapable of protecting his wicket, securing a catch, or even running without treading on his own hands.
Shit haircut (see Lever's comment and photo, p 1); don't even think about the 'footwork' involved in the shot
and, to top it off, he went on to defend the Essendon drug cheats!
Lawry or Redpath should have toured the UK in 1972, not this bloated scrotum of no-talent.

You pretty much got this turkey done,
If he was a terrific person you could just about forgive his ineptitude as a cricketer, tho not the morons who bred him nor those that selected him in junior, grade, Dubber or Oz teams. Unfortunately the bloke is a worse human being than he was a cricketer.

Re: Bruce Francis
My reading suggests that he is not actually a lawyer, although he usually behaves as though he wants people to believe he is ... so, he's aspirational.
(person called Bruce Francis is lower than lawyers)

Re: Bruce Francis
Who would have thought that almost 14 years into a cricket forum, a non-entity of 3 Tests (amazingly he got 3) like Bruce Francis would rate a thread of his own that had extended for 3 pages no less.
I checked his FC stats - 6000 runs at 34. Hmmm.
A testament to one man's hatred.

Re: Bruce Francis
Most of those runs were for Essex v Combined Universities or Shropshire.
Hopeless in the Shield. Worse in Tests. One innings of note on the 1972 tour, 210. Against the university side.

Yep. Contempt for his career and those idiots who selected him. Nowadays I feel sorry for him as he is clearly a troubled person.

There's something to be said for "bails", we keep legends who are on life support alive and give immortality to non entities.
