I'm pretty sure this month will finish with a tally of 8754 posts.

I've been issued a new usb clavier, since Canada post are on strike/locked out and can't be bothered to bring the computer shop my new laptop keyboard. Glad to see the posts are still ticking away with a few days of Juin left.

In other news, yesterday I saw a lot of parakeets having sex. If that's not Jewn-worthy, I don't know what is.

captivity. It was one of those big rooms you could walk into and the birds all fly around the trees and shriek a lot. Of about 25-30 birds, 8-10 of them were mating. They must lose their inhibitions in that sort of environment.

Has anyone noticed there are wild parakeets in Britain now though? I am not kidding - there are four or five where I live, flitting between the trees. Not sure what they eat.


I did say parakeets, not paraquats. And no, I haven't been drinking.

yep - an iridescent flash as they flit by, a lot of green but other colours too.

Jays aren't beautiful. They're normal looking and brown. Blue Jays are gorge.

Personally, I think they are dead cute.

Though admittedly not as natty as a waxwing or (gasp) a hoopoe.
