I'd write you a recommendation. It'd be useless, but I would.

Thank you very much dozza, nice suggestion Lever but I reckon I'd look too much of a qunt, which is fair enough as I am one, but the point is to trick employers into thinking I'm not. It's a tough job.
Re: England v Sri Lanka, 1st ODI, The Oval, June 28
So this looks like becoming effectively a T20 game. Joy.....

Restart 5pm, 32 overs a side.
200 a decent score?

The pitch will do a bit. 180 will be competitive.

Always screws the team batting first, a reduction in the overs. England have basically wasted seven overs - probably their entire power play allowance - crabbing along, thinking it was a 50 over game.
Still, some game is better than no game. We would've lost anyway...

Surely they'll get 'some' runs added too.

All the favourites, basically.
Told you so.
Amazing. Bresnan wasn't even in the squad until yesterday. For the past 18 months or so England have always played two spinners in ODIs, to reasonable effect. Having presumably had a look at Fat Sam and thought "what the f*ck have we picked here?", is this team an indication that they cocked up the squad selection once again as there's no other spin option?

They can't get runs added to their total if the innings hasn't been completed yet, can they?

Fat Sam certainly didn't do himself any favours in the T20 game the other day. In fact, it was possibly the worst possible comeback he could have made.

Actually, I guess he could have walked onto the field eating chips, f@rting, and with an oxygen mask, before having a fatal heart attack after bowling his first delivery.
That would have been worse.

Not by much IMO. The slovenly way he was so fatly assured he'd be back in the crease was ridiculous.
Re: England v Sri Lanka, 1st ODI, The Oval, June 28
This is a 32 over game, but you can see England will f*ck this up by going too hard, too quickly.

Bell just blocked a full toss. I'm almost catatonic. Really. He blocked a full toss.

And out playing the dab sweep. So typical. HIT THE BALL DOWN THE GROUND FFS, THE BOUNDARIES ARE SHORTER, AND THERE"S FAR LESS RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
