Who cares. Not a single player on the Somerset team will play for England unless they move to Warks. May as well be India v Strauss and some village tossers.

How dare you. This team has at least three guys who have the potential to stay at Taunton AND play for England in the next 5 years. I'm actually a bit outraged, I think. I refuse to believe that English cricket swings on Ashley Giles's hinge.

Fair do's. You're probably the sort of chap that didn't believe in the phone-hacking shite until it all came out. I'm highlighting some sh!t here.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
If Gashley was the chief selector i'd be worried. If that was the case, Michael Vaughan would probably be perversely selected by his old mate, despite having the knees of an 80 year old and having not picked up a bat for 38 years. There would be all sorts of over the wicket, negative c*ck sucking.

Well, we'll see. It'll start with players no-one gives a sh!t about, then start creeping in. Next thing you know, JC Hildreth will be getting castled regularly at Edgy. TBH, I'm thinking about boycotting the whole shebang.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Good chance for one of the young Somerset lads to impress Strauss. Play a big innings that Strauss remembers when it comes to picking a replacement batsman sometime in the future.
Not that Strauss is a selector, but i'd imagine his opinion carries some weight.

He's not in the relevant blowjob-square though. He doesn't bring chocolate or Warwickshire to the table.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Can't believe Gregory isn't getting a FC match - would've been a great opportunity albeit on a road...

Yeah, surprising all-in-all. Even if he was just batting (as that's supposed to be his strong suit).
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
Unless he's still an U19 player.... I think they have a game soon
Edit, nope (he's probably 20 is he?)
England Under-19 squad
Adam Ball, captain (Kent)
Daniel Bell-Drummond (Kent)
Peter Burgoyne (Derbyshire)
Ben Foakes (Essex)
Gavin Griffiths (Lancashire)
Brett Hutton (Nottinghamshire)
Aneesh Kapil (Worcestershire)
Sam Kelsall (Nottinghamshire)
Tom Knight (Derbyshire)
Jamie Overton (Somerset)
Adam Rossington (Middlesex)
Shiv Thakor (Leicestershire)
Reece Topley (Essex)
Sam Wood (Nottinghamshire)

Strauss gone to Mishra for 78 off 98 balls. He'd have taken that.
Not sure it counts for a lot, he got a big hundred in the warm up against Sri Lanka...

Yeah, f*ck that. Means sweet FA. At least he wasn't out to left-arm pace.
Re: Somerset and Strauss v India
They're handling Gregory with kid gloves at the moment. He played the majority of the T20 campaign. Just resting him, I think.

Arul Suppiah (rhb) 94...
(Henry) Get him into the England team (/Henry)
I was confused between this guy and that other dude who was recently caught lying to get into a team in county cricket. But then these names all sound alike, and for all you know the two probably look alike as well.

Arul Suppiah is a good looking player. Has underachieved. Ditto Nick Compton. Both should have done more over the years.

Taunton is nearly always flat. I've got a feeling the pitches will be a bit spicy, as per England's orders.

Lord's'll be a pancake as usual, but the other pitches should have a little life. Trent Bridge always swings. Old Edgbaston was usually a result ground, so New Edgbaston may well be too.
The Oval'll be a road.
